Kerrang:The 50 Greatest Rockstars in the World Today.

From this weeks Kerrang...

14 - Matt Bellamy

MUSE

WHO: Muse's mad musical mastermind.

WHY: Conspiracy theories, harebrained schemes, wild creativity, and a glorious talent, Matt Bellamy does not understand borders. Rather than be constrained, the music he creates for Muse transcends, well, everything. Space rock, program rock, dance rock, Dr Who rock, what-the-fuck rock - the only thing it's safe to assume is that it's Muse rock. The reason, principally, is Matt, peeling out untamed piano licks, frenzied guitars and idea after idea. There are plenty of mad creators - what makes Matt great is that he can harness it. He can add emotion at just the right time; he can send his music soaring with that perfect riff just as it threatens to tumble into the abyss. Listen to Kinghts Of Cydonia if you disagree.

HE SAYS: "We could be way more pretentious..."

He's a Guitar Hero, Minted and Nuts.

Matt should have been number 1 instead of Jason Aalon Butler :phu:

haha, loved that too, 'what the fuck rock'

It's a cut above our image of him.
speak for yourself lol

and thank god he's cut a bit on the conspiracy theory stuff. i mean it's pretty 'cool' at first but then... bit of a bore to watch/listen to some of his interviews when he spoke at length about some of those matters

I think government / economics has his attention right now, he'll probably find some good new conspiracies in time
