Will_
doesn't suit you in what way? I hadn't read your posts in here before replying to your pm, but I have a squier tele custom as well and tbh it's one of my favourite guitars. ok I've changed out the pickups in it, but I've done the same in my tele fmt as well I honestly don't know. I put an MBK-2 in it. I was really pleased for the first few months, but do you know how some guitars just don't suit you or your style? There isn't really a reason, but comparing it to my Vintage SG (which I adore) it just doesn't do it for me. I might get some different strings and new tuners (it's constantly going out of tune) and go from there.
Neil.
Somehow I knew there would be an Eastwood Airline in your list Do you play much slide? Yeah a little, but only in the open tunings. The only standard tuning where i play slide is Scar Tissue, but i don't John Fruscante that much. Not that I don't like him or anything, I just don't enjoy playing his stuff as much as i would jack white, or other blusey stuff.

Neil.
yeah i don't even think blues is the right term for it... things like what wanda jackson and jack white are doing these days, and the likes of "Will there be enough water" by the Dead Weather. I do like that old stuff like Howlin Wolf etc, and i'll use a slide for that style, but what is that? blues? rockabilly? numetalfusionjazz? Dean/muse
This is my dream rig This stuff has this bombastic sound, unlike any other youve ever heard, Loads of sustain don't ask me how I got it I went through a lot....
randomparrot
It's a nice guitar, but I don't think it suits me atm. Funny, it was the first guitar I bought without trying it beforehand... says a lot really! I didn't play mine except when I went to pick it up from Andertons The only negative I could find is that the frets were a little sharp on the edges but they've smoothed down now. cheddatom
I can't believe you have so many guitars and amps but you don't have a Whammy! No amount of retail therapy makes up for a lack of whammy. Learn that early and you'll save thousands on sports cars and the like.
matthijs
I'd like to have a rig with different basses (jazz, p, mm, rick, something soapy / warwickish), aguilar cabs, and 2 tops. Preferably a bypassed pedal board, midi switched.

Bs
This - ultimate Bs beef! That beef tastes horrible! On a slightly off-topic note, these public library computers are a fucking joke. Kit and Tab : "Access Denied : Pornography" Manson Guitars and Equipment : "Access Denied : Pornography" General Gear and Tab : "Access Denied : Pornography" I mean, I know there's some nice guitars and stuff, but seriously. Thankfully it doesn't happen on my laptop, but when I'm using the library PCs like today I notice it sometimes. It's a complete pisstake. The filter obviously just does what it likes arbitrarily. Sometimes it's just been certain pages of threads, and if it's the most recent one, I've got around it but clicking Reply and then viewing the recent posts at the bottom, but even that isn't working on General Gear and Tab today. Fucking joke. I'll be on my laptop tomorrow though thankfully...But still...It's annoying...Probably only a matter of time before they fuck that over too... Bs
Oh, for fuck's sake...And now I've blocked this page too by including the word "pornography" in my last post...I'm going to take serious issue with the library staff on this at some point...Not today, but the next time it happens...Not impressed...Can't wait to be back on my laptop, which is a little bit less crazy... Also manfromcydonia, I spotted the S7420 on your list. I'm using the bridge from that on my custom. Pretty excited about that.
james90
Haha There was a website a while back which you could enter a URL, and it would turn all the text into sort of a pornographic language... Because I'd be tempted to try that and see if it works Edit: Don't tell me I've made your problem worse by including that word
Bs
And now I can't access the page at all...This is ridiculous...Even my laptop blocks a lot of the other sub-forums on the Muse site for no discernable reason, but this one is usually okay...Sorry for hijacking the thread but as I can't post in any of the others I'm a bit stuck...Useless thing...If my laptop someday blocks KnT as well, I may quite literally RATM... james90
I'm thinking about the Chupacabra, it looks really nice I had one of those for a while - it was nice, there was something I couldn't get along with. Needed to be cranked up a fair bit to sound its best as well. tempted to try the yeti though. If you want a modded Marshall type amp, check out Dave Friedman...nothing comes close in my opinion. I have two of his modded amps. Might make some clips later if you're interested.

Probably not in the market for any sort of Marshall clone for a while, first I'd want a VH4 and like I said I'm pretty content for now

Blues is more about the way you play rather than specific equipment or a specific sound. Obviously there's more specific genres within that, but you get the idea. Jack White's sound is very much Garage Blues influenced, The Sonics are a perfect example of the sub-genre: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhM5k_EGzaQ But still, have a listen to Son House doing Death Letter Blues, then have a listen to The White Stripes doing it, both are still Blues, but one plays it solo on an acoustic and the other drums, electric guitars and fuzz boxes. Blues is not solely slide guitar either. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOyj4ciJk34 (Sorry, my college years involved playing in a Garage Blues-esque band and hanging around in clubs drinking 50p shots listening to the stuff, plus old reggae instead of the indie shite next door with crazy drug-addicts much older than me)
IntelligentAl
+1 Blues is surprisingly diverse with loads of different sub-genres within it. Youll find you can make a lot of pieces of music sounds bluesy simply by the way you play it. One of the reasons it remains my favourite genre of music is the way it can be so expressive, but remain so simple.

Great performance by the whole band, and the venue was small enough for it to be a really enjoyable night. The man has good stories.
