So I'm posting this anyway even though I think it is terrible. I did say I was going to so I will.

 

Please feel free to hunt me down and kill me for doing such a shocking job. I feel sad that I did it so horribly so I won't blame you. If you do kill me make it quick and before my major exams please.

 

Anyway I am getting away from myself. This cake is based on one of Chris' Fender Jazz basses used in the BH&R era. It is called the maple bass. There is a link to the original in my first post. So enjoy... If you can handle the epic fail of it.

 

Blame sleep deprivation, that's what I do.

So far I have posted two cakes... Yes count them 2. (Although I don't like the bass cake that much but it tasted good)

 

So I was talking to my friend who said I needed to complete the set. For anyone who is a bit slow she was suggesting I make a cake styled on Dom's drums. I sense a slight problem there... We shall call it... gravity.

 

I am in the middle of some seriously mind-numbing exams and I cannot think properly. However I am trying to do some research on how I could do this.

 

In the meantime if you have any suggestions please post them here. It would be much appreciated. In another 5 weeks I should be on holidays so I'll have a few weeks where I can put all my focus on making this cake. (Cause I totally focus on school)

On the 7th I made a cake for the band and wanted to give it them when they got to Brisbane Airport, so I made a stage pyramid cake. It didn't quite turn out how I wanted it to (edible markers weren't fine tipped), but I did my best. Mind you, this is the first time I attempted a cake project as big as this.

Unfortunately, after a few hours at the airport I decided they would fly in the next day and on the way back to my car the lid slipped and squished the top three layers beyond repair, and I wasn't going to give it to them like that, but I'm hoping they'll at least get to look at pictures of it on twitter or something.

Thanks guys . I was talking to the Doctor on triple j and I tried to tweet pictures to him to show the band, but twitter wouldn't work so I facebooked them and rang back to tell them where they were, but I'm not sure if he got it in time because they said they'd ring back and tell me if they did, but no call came . Here's hoping one of them will check twitter.
