Andy muse
Hey. Recently my jack became loose and to rings fell off. So i got it fixed. And now the jack is really loose AGAIN, is it the bass. Should i get a new one as i think the rings are going to fall off again. When its plugged in the lead will wobble around and so will the jack. Whats up with it !!!! james90
i don't think it even needs that. it's a metal plate, so he probably didn't crack it (which usually causes jacks to loosen up easily) just needs tightening really. how much is that / usually no more than £5, but as i said above, i don't think it would need that. james90
This is going to be a embarrasing question but... how do you tighten it. Im not a techy person since it's recessed slightly, you'll need something like this http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tools/Wrenches/Guitar_Nutdrivers.html

Larry.
Make sure you take the control cavity plate off and hold the jack from behind when you tighten it otherwise you might end up twisting the wires until they break
hooglebug
DO THIS unscrew the plate. pull it out, without forcing it. when its out as much as it will go grab hold of the jack from behind the plate, and tighten the nut with some needle nose pliers or something else that will get in there. when its tight enough not to turn the jack around with your hands, screw the plate back on. it really is that easy
