What's your favourite part of the HAARP DVD?

Chris' smile during MOTP

There's a shot of the crowd I love when Supermassive Black Hole kicks in. The group of guys dancing like right at the beginning. I don't know why but I love that part. Also the intro to Supermassive!

When the piano part kicks in during Butterflies and Hurricanes.

When Matt throws his arms up to the beat in Apocolypse Please and then does the whole piano slide. I love that.

Blackout is epic!

I like during Knights of Cydonia when the crowd is singing the guitar part and that smile Matt gets.

The improv after MOTP.

It's hard to choose one favorite and I have so many small favorite moments. Haha.

It's hard to pick a favourite bit because it's all so amazing!

I watched it again today from beginning to end.

I think the best bit is the way the crowd go all silent during the piano bit in Butterflies and Hurricanes.

Unintended and Invincible are just amazing too... its all so good!

So glad New Born was on there aswell...

Can't believe someone above said it wasn't as good as they had hoped! Of course it's your opinion, each to their own but i'm really surprised...

- Visuals at the end of Invincible

- TAB- matt points up to the light in the sky, turns out to be a helicopter

- blackout instrumental at the end

- PIB chorus with the crowd singing

- Chris thums up at the start of SS

- Chris laughin in MotP

Lots of people are mentioning Chris's happy moments, which I loved as well. At a lot of gigs he seems pretty dutiful- not discontent, but just concentrating on his playing or shaking his head about. Here he actually smiles and gestures to the crowd a lot- was refreshing and made me like him more. He's got a good smile, that guy.

New Born, all of it. Oh. My. God. Fits of joy on the floor of the lounge

I am a closet wuss, because Blackout moves me a lot, it was just heart rendingly beautiful, even though it wasn't played as well as on the Glastonbury dvd.

Basically all the guitar wankery at the end of Stockholm was utterly fucking kgfkglkfggitjk :stunned: Awesome.

Adored the black and white intro with only the colours of the band's clothes showing, the whole dvd is really BRIGHT and pretty.

The audience singing the riff to Knights was ace, that is such an uniquely British thing to do and its so endearing

And I could go on for ages about little fangirl thingies like hair glitter and sex faces and handssss and amp shagging and stuff, but I won't :p:LOL:

Definitely NOT Knights of Cydonia.

It was by far the most disappointing performance of that song, mainly because Matt didnt play the improvisations on the final riff that he usually does. He ends up playing the main riff over again, which is rather disappointing.

Any idea why he decided to omit that part at a gig as important as Wembley?

I cant believe I didnt realise it when I was at the gig itself. I thought I faintly heard the little mini solo on the final riff at the time. The excitement probably got to my head.

Plug In Baby. :D

New Born and SS, the outros are just devastatingly awesome.

Blackout was hauntingly beautiful.

Matt's smile and "Cheers" after Hoodoo.

Something about the first "Oooooooohhhh..." during SMBH, when Matt raises his eyebrow, always gets me. And I love the intense look in Dom's eyes as Take A Bow is beginning.

Well, pretty self-explanatory thread.

My personal favourite bit:

14 minutes 59 seconds.

Oh. Fucking. Yes.

You?

Oooh, definitly the last 3 songs and the amazing riffs that go in between them!!! Especially the 'Stockholm Syndrome --> 'Take a Bow' riff.

Muse performing! :p

But especially Matt slide during the bestest song evaar New Born!, Dom's crazy headbanging during SS, Chris's cheesy lil grin!

I also looooove the 'Making Of' - the hugging, request for Tom to wish them a good gig, Matt needing the toilet and getting bossy and twitchy about the music before they went on lol! Just the whole fucking thing reminds me of exactly why Wembellamy was the greatest weekend of my entire life. I want to relive it sooo bad! :D:happy::musesign:

am I missing how to get to the making of on my DVD? :(

didn't he began playing the KoC ending riff improvs throughout the tour long after Wembley?

favorite parts...

~snippets of shots where practically EVERYBODY in the crowd was jumping and getting into the music all at once. that is really exciting and maaaan would i love to be part of that at any concert i go to (let alone any Muse gig).

~that one close-up of the guy during Map of the Problematique always gets me chuckling.

~shaking of the cameras during Plug In Baby

~Dom banging away on the drums near the ending of Stockholm Syndrome. it was like that for...what...5 solid seconds?

the second half of the concert did it for me. music, lighting, performance....it was all good.

My favourite bit is undoubtedly Stockholm Syndrome and the riffage that follows, :musesign:

It's funny that despite the abundance of visual candy throughout the DVD, its most striking imagery for me is the end of SS - Matt's white-clad figure with red guitar against the black background. As Coca-Cola and White Stripes would tell you, red-white-black really is the most powerful colour combination. I also like the shot of Matt's darkened profile after he puts the guitar on his head - it just looks utterly alien.

Once it has become dark, it is much better. The lights show up better, so the very end of TaB (the helicopter shot) is insane.

Other than that I do still find Dom's drumming at the very start of Knights very amazing. (53secs to 1:10 on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12oNShTorD4)
