a-museing
This is all I heard: He enjoys playing with U2 Matt, Dom and managers went for drinks with radiohosts Chris didn't go because he was sleepy Loves being in a band playing music and had the opportunity to travel
29pearls
They talked w/ Chris for a bit, but he had a bad connection so they had to go to NSC. Briefly, before connection was lost the host said he went w/ U2, Dom, Matt & 'managers' to tango show, but why didn't Chris go? Chris said he was tired, catching up on sleep since he has a 5 month old at home. Also talked about supporting U2 (it's easier & more relaxed to play 40 min than their usual 2 hr show). They are now trying to get Chris back on. ETA: a-musing beat me to it!

a-museing
They stopped playing NSC because Europeons didn't seem to know it. Played it in the US because of the whole Twilight thing. Glastonbury is magical. Some of the best gigs they've ever done. No SA till next tour. They just 'ran out of time'. 2011 is supposed to be a rest year. ayla
They stopped playing NSC because Europeons didn't seem to know it. Lol. Not know it or not like it? Also, I think it's funny that Chris needs to be on tour to catch up on sleep.

29pearls
Thanks to tofu & a-museing for the extra interview details. Nothing earth-shattering, except when Chris, ever the diplomat, danced around why they won't play NSC. He can't quite say, "b/c it sucks!" can he? Here are some additional web articles which I only skimmed (someone else will have to translate, sorry)-- Chris' "board meeting" with contest winners: http://www.si.clarin.com/Siempre-gusto-transgredir_0_454754527.html Some mini-reviews of 3/30 concert: http://www.si.clarin.com/musa-diagonales_0_454754529.html http://www.clarin.com/espectaculos/musica/aplanadora-soporte_0_454754560.html Also, Matt & Dom were interviewed by mtv latinamerica on the day of the Pergolini interview. Does anyone know if it's aired yet? Pics: http:// http://yfrog.com/h2wj0qfj
dead-duck
They stopped playing NSC because Europeons didn't seem to know it. Played it in the US because of the whole Twilight thing. heh.... and yet, of the handful of gigs they played NSC, only one was in the US
CarrieB
heh.... and yet, of the handful of gigs they played NSC, only one was in the US Yeah they even played it at Wembley, though it hadn't been played for quite a while by then. I don't think Chris is being straight forward on this but I'm not making the assumption that it is because they don't like it. You could be right but I think it's either because of how some of the fans reacted, or because the song represents something Matt doesn't want to sing about right now or they got fed up with the Twilight franchise. I doubt I will be agreed with but my guess would be the second one.
Beibi
At Vicente Calderón the crowd was like during NSC, absolute weird vibe during the song but after that at least they played Bliss and people forgot about it I remember that after this performance they didn't play the song for a couple of gigs. It may be then that Chris was being straight about it. He may not think of England as Europe.
