sassyjem
Sorry if this has been discussed before but am fairly newish to the site and not seen anything about this since I have been on. I have searched all over the internet and not found an 'official' Muse fan club. Is this really the case? If so, how come???? Im sure there would be enough interest in this.I for one would be more than happy to join. I know one of the benefits of being a member of other bands fan clubs - U2 for instance- gives the true fans the chance of buying tickets before they go on general sale. That alone would be enough for me to join! Would appreciate any info on why this isnt happening with Muse......

Tesseract
It would be kind of nice if they had something similar to Linkin Park Underground...where members get a yearly package of goods like exclusive merch and even "exclusive" albums with B-sides. Dominic.
You already get access to the pre-sale by signing up to the website/board. You don't need to pay EDIT: that was a sudden burst of posts >_<

I was a member of the LPU wayyyy back in the day and it srsly wasn't that good tbh. Tbh, I think paid memberships, in a way, just end up alienating some fans. Not on, really. I never joined the LPU because I didn't think the extra stuff was worth it, but I think it's possible to be done well. I think Muse have enough rabid fans to have a successful fan club. Just make it CHEAP and instead of giving exclusive songs or whatever, just make it so the members maybe get physical copies of B-sides and other merch a little bit earlier than the general public. Like a presale of sorts.

Like a presale of sorts. Oh, it's certainly possible for it to be done well, sure. But I still think the idea of paying a fee every year just to get something that should be available to everybody isn't really on. If you're a fan, you're a fan and that should be the end of it, imo. And I think my pet hate with fan clubs is that some of them do actually have fan club exclusive presales, I find that really unfair. But that's obviously just my own opinion

Even if it's just like an exclusive shirt that says "Official Fan Club" or something like that. *shrug* I don't know, I'm just rambling.

LyraSilvertongue
There was an attempt to start a fan club years ago and it got to quite an advanced stage before Matt said no. So I doubt we'll get one now. Tbh, I can't seen the point.
Pip
Yeah, I would like a fan club so I can have a free badge and poster, just like when I joined the Adam and the Ants fan club when I was 11.

Lih
I wouldn't want a paid fan club - paying extra just for one presale every three years and some rare tracks probably wouldn't cut it. U2 are certainly not a good example - right now people are quite annoyed with the fanclub because there's been very little good content released through it so people don't feel the payments are justified.
