MegaEBoy
Hi, I was looking for a cheap solution for chroming (so I don't have to spend a good 300 squids on a Sims job) and I came across these guys http://www.chromespray.co.uk/flashchrome.html, dunno if they're good or not, but anyone got a decent and affordable place to get a decent chrome job? EDIT: doesn't have to be real chrome, just the effect really

james90
"If you would like a free sample call or email us with your details" So this isn't the same as what Sims does then?
Flump
"If you would like a free sample call or email us with your details" So this isn't the same as what Sims does then? I'm not actually sure what sims does. I asked them what their process was because my guitar is currently over there, and they haven't responded. I actually haven't been getting very good communication from them in general. I have only emailed them due to the time difference. Anyone know what sims turnaround time usually is? musecasters
about 6 weeks i think, it would be better to use someone like Sims as he knows what he's doing. my older brother is in the paint trade and the trade feels with the chrome paint, unless you have perfect conditions (a la operating theatre) it will look pants Sims did my first chrome guitar, and these boys did my second, both very good http://coatofchrome.com/
zooropa1310
I've been hearing around that coat of chrome has had a lot of... "communication" issues lately. Also, quite a few Manson's have come out without a proper chroming, and had to be "improved" finish wise. Well, bomber, and that one tele.

musecasters
the key with these systems is you have to have a very hi gloss black ground coat, without that it will look shit, these companies are selling to the public products that are really meant of the trade that have the proper equipment and safety gear
Flump
is this in the US? cause I'd love to get my guitar chromed without sending it overseas It is in the US. I was trying to get a guitar chromed by them, but I couldn't get any kind of response. The only way to get a hold of them on their website is to use the contact form they provide. I have no idea if it actually works though. They have no phone number or email address listed on their website. I ended up shipping mine to Sims. It's actually over there now.
