Well he probably couldn't think of an answer.:chuckle:

I think Dom or Chris said Matt was obsessed with red years ago, but, maybe it was just a stage. I mean who really has a favourite colour beyond the age of 12?!

:$ I can't help it.. Purple is just such a pwetty colour

when the interviewer says "you play your music like you're wringing every last drop of music out of your tools...til there's nothing left, they're empty and listless"

 omfg

matt's reaction = :awesome:

Yeah loved that. So funny I couldn't watch past it for laughing.

Muse can save that way of playing music for their next tour which would probably automatically mean, more rehearsal! :p:LOL:

Actually I came back on to say I was feeling sad about them not producing next time, hit me after a few glasses of wine, but how can you feel sad when you're reminded of the wringing tools comment!

Actually, that didn't last long, still feel sad about it, but respect their reasons.

There's something else I want to comment on. I don't know how I can find so much out of one short interview, but I liked Matt's Christmas comment.

I do all the Christmas thing with the tree etc because I think it can be a nice family time but I have a lecturer who can't even say it. He has to say "happy winter break" and I fucking respect that. People who have their principles, that distaste for religion, commercialism whatever it is, and are willing to go against the crowd.

I sensed that Matt has that but doesn't want to make a thing of it, but I'm not a bit surprised that he has, and I wasn't surprised about my lecturer either. I respect that level of social conscious and I feel afinity with it.

Anyway...

 Purple, red and black are my favorite colors. Always will be! :phu:

I'm pretty sad to see that they won't be producing again either. Practice makes perfect and I think their first attempt shows a lot of promise. Maybe they'll give it another go later on down the road.

Yeah, those were my thoughts too. Maybe after being with a producer again they will change their minds.

I am sorry, just came in here to say that I am still laughing at this:

Dylan: “You play your music like you’re wringing every last drop of music out of your tools…”

Matt: (giggles)

Dylan: “…nothing else is left in the instruments…”

Matt: (giggles and covers his face)

Dylan: “… when you are finished with them, they... are like…”

Matt: (shifts uncomfortably, laughs)

Dylan: “… empty and listless, old, deflated footballs.” (makes giant footballs hand gestures)

Matt: (lost the plot by now, mind deeply in the gutter) “Wh… What?”

Dylan: “The instruments.”

Matt: “Ah, the instruments…” (pinches the bridge of his nose, hides behind his own hand)

Dylan: “Do you feel like you are the master of your craft or is there more to explore and to learn?” (finally notices giggling Matt) “It’s not funny!”

I know it's childish, etc, etc... but that idiotic bit made my morning.

Fantastic interview, very funny. The interviewer is just as odd as Matt and Matt fidgets like a ferret

Even though I love The Resistance I'm kinda glad to hear that they won't be producing the next album themselves, the outside perspective really is a valuable thing.

I you tubed that song Matt requested.

I thought it'd be cool to see what Matt's favourite singer sounded like.

I was all like this rageguy_face_happy_bigger.png

All I can say is WTF. :stunned:

Though that bass player is pretty cool

You did not just insult Tom Waits.

The bass in that song is amazing.
