Whether or not you agree with Muse's direction as of late, how does that make Bellamy a "shit" frontman? Sure they aren't as energetic as they used to be as a whole, but still...he's still way more entertaining to watch than most (or all) current frontmen in rock.

chill out man :awesome:

I think Axl deserves to be in the Top 10 because he used to be great in the golden days of GnG. But he totally destroyed his own reputation. Now he's just an asshole.

My list:

1. Freddie Mercury

2. Jim Morrison

3. Kurt Cobain

4. Mick Jagger

5. Robert Plant

6. John Lennon

7. Zack de la Rocha

8. Matt Bellamy

9. Thom Yorke

10. Axl Rose

This isn't my ideal list, but it's better than the actual one. Mick Jagger deserves to be in there. Axl Rose wouldn't exist without Mick Jagger!

I never liked to watch him. Really just too much.

Matt on the other hand...sometimes subtle is better. Okay I've seen more competent frontmen but you like to see who you want to see. The most competent frontman won't have it if you don't like them.

And don't get me wrong I love the music of Queen, the show turned me off though.

Oh come on! LOL! Everyone knows he's not a brilliant frontman, but for those who love him, he's just what you need.

Exactly. He might not be the best one on crowd banter or whatever you call it, and isn't really "there" a lot of the time. But he's still brilliant at what he does on stage, but it's not exactly what makes a great frontman.

Yeah, what I'm trying to say is that Freddie Mercury might have been great at working the crowd but personally I'd rather watch Matt humping his guitar because I didn't find Freddie Mercury remotely attractive, rest his soul, so on paper, objectively, you would say Freddie was the better frontman but who would I rather watch? It's an easy choice.

I feel bad now. Poor Freddie. Basically I'm not really into all that pomp and ceremony in any case, so it's stupid me commenting.

Matt is definitely one of my favorite frontmen if we are looking at whole careers. But that has a lot to do with his personality. He could do a lot of things better as a frontman.

I'm not sure who I would say is the best actually...no idea.

I don't find either remotely attractive. Freddie was better.

A great frontman works the crowd, not the cameras filming it. It's impossible to judge a frontman by Youtube videos, it's all about being in the venue at the time.
