Best Frontman Poll Results (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk)

Guns N' Roses' Axl Rose has won a poll to find the greatest rock frontman of all time.

The singer topped the poll carried out by website Musicradar, which was voted by its readers.

Rose beat Queen's lead singer Freddie Mercury into second place, with Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant in third.

The top ten also included John Lennon, Kurt Cobain and Muse's Matt Bellamy.

The top ten in full:

1. Axl Rose (Guns N' Roses)

2. Freddie Mercury (Queen)

3. Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin)

4. Ronnie James Dio (Black Sabbath, Dio)

5. John Lennon (The Beatles)

6. Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden)

7. Thom Yorke (Radiohead)

8. Kurt Cobain (Nirvana)

9. Matt Bellamy (Muse)

10. Paul McCartney (The Beatles, Wings)

Rose had recently sued the makers of Rock Band for featuring a likeness of former bandmate Slash.

I think Axl deserves to be in the Top 10 because he used to be great in the golden days of GnG. But he totally destroyed his own reputation. Now he's just an asshole.

My list:

1. Freddie Mercury

2. Jim Morrison

3. Kurt Cobain

4. Mick Jagger

5. Robert Plant

6. John Lennon

7. Zack de la Rocha

8. Matt Bellamy

9. Thom Yorke

10. Axl Rose

This is stupid, Freddie Mercury is better than Axl, the same Axl said a lot of times that Freddie Mercury is a Rock God and he (Rose) is only shit compared with him (Mercury).

Bellamy 8th and up!

Anyway those list are ever very personal and subjetive. (But Axl is the first position is a crime)

Whether or not you agree with Muse's direction as of late, how does that make Bellamy a "shit" frontman? Sure they aren't as energetic as they used to be as a whole, but still...he's still way more entertaining to watch than most (or all) current frontmen in rock.
