  2. Hello all, The main focus of this thread is logistics of the speculated ‘Muse Rarities Tour’, an idea born out of Twitter after the Montreux Jazz Fest gig, and the possibility of voting for a few rare songs each show. Many of the fans are interested in a tour based on the B-sides and rarities of Muse’s discography, including tracks never played live or tracks that haven’t been played in many years. The hashtags #museraritiestour and #musebyrequest have been introduced to both Twitter and Instagram and have become somewhat of popular ideas amongst the fans, as well as the idea of voting to see more “deep cuts” live. A “by request” club tour petition has already been started by Karen Grey, who got the idea of a smaller club tour to the band back in 2014/15. The petition has already gained a lot of support with over 200 signatures within the first few hours. She will be contacting larger media such as NME and Gigwise and eventually Muse management, as she did last time. The link for said petition is: https://www.change.org/p/muse-by-request-club-tour After the Montreux gig, Matt also mentioned the possibility for fans to vote for setlists via polls, though he was unsure about how to make it available internationally and in a fair way. If the rarities/club tour idea doesn't work out, it is possible that we set up a poll to decide a few songs we'd like to hear, rather than putting the band on the spot with signs like always. The set up for this would be that as each group of tour dates is announced on the website, there will be a poll with maybe 5 songs the BAND is comfortable playing and then fans will choose 1/2 they would want to hear. This would allow them to rehearse these songs and be comfortable with them beforehand as well as giving fans the older songs they've been asking for. Additionally, it prevents the casual listener from being alienated by a show with only 'rare' songs. This would mean we’d need to get in contact with the band and have polling options installed via the website, or have a complete ‘Muse poll’ website dedicated to it that the band can link people to. ****Please do remember that the goal is NOT to pressure the band into something they are uncomfortable with and if they decide against playing these songs, then it's their decision. They do not ‘owe’ us anything, so please keep messages to the guys positive and kind if you do mention it to them on social media with #museraritiestour**** Please comment any questions or concerns with these ideas, or even support. Let's shoot for the moon, we'll land somewhere amongst the stars.
  3. I saw something like this on the Muse subreddit, and I wanted to give it a try. I shuffled my Muse spotify playlist and the first 19 songs are what makes up the setlist. And here it is: Take a Bow City of Delusion Plug-In Baby Easily New Born Pink Ego Box Revolt Hyper Music Exogenesis Symphony Part III: Redemption Fillip Explorers The 2nd Law: Isolated System Map of Your Head Citizen Erased Encore 1: Drones Stockholm Syndrome Do We Need This? Encore 2: Ruled by Secrecy Dead Star What do you guys think?
  4. If you attend to any concert of Muse on the 1999-2002 years (or may before), please, tell us everything of the show that you remember, like the songs, or if you record something. There are some setlist missing (specially in 2000 backwards), only for curiosity. Let's start over again Just another crazy Muse fan.
  5. So, now that we have Survival, how do you guys think it will fit into live performances (if it is played live at all)? Do you think they will have extra musicians or a choir onstage, or will it all be done by Morgan? Whereabouts in setlists do you think it will end up? Could it be a concert opener, closer, or neither? Discuss! (sorry if this is in the wrong section by the way or if someone has already made this thread)
  6. What things have you been able (or atempted) to get signed? Just wanted to since I just recently aquired a setlist of my first Muse gig signed by all (inc. Morgan).
  7. I met the great Dom Howard at a Biffy Clyro show a few days ago. It was absolutely unexpected, instead of asking relevant questions I shook violently and rambled about... God knows what. He was amazing, very nice. Having been watching him from afar the last 10 years and never even imagined meeting him so I lost what little cool I might have ever had. So rather than regret my wasted opportunity of having a few questions answered I was hoping you could all put my mind to rest! 1. Why the lack of love for Showbiz on their last two tours? It's always been my favorite album, but unfortunately I didn't get the opportunity to see them live till 07', which was seemingly the end of them playing the songs live. Not even one song on the regular set list? The album is what made most of us fall in love with them, no love for their roots? 2. How much creative control do they have when it comes to picking the set list, and then switching it up at the shows. How spontaneous are random songs played live? And who decided to play them? Does their manager hand them a list and they play it, or does someone say "I feel like playing Bliss today, let's do it!". Or even in the moment, can one person just decide to switch up the list, or are they restricted to the list? 3. How much do they have to do with picking their openers? I saw them earlier in the year (NV, USA) and Silver Sun Pickups were their openers, whom I very much enjoyed watching. All their European supporters have been amazing. Now, I just sat through 4 shows cringing to the sound of Passion Pit. Seriously? Are they fans? Who decides these things!? The sounds are not remotely comparable, and the general feedback of everyone I talked at the shows, as well as my interpretation of the crowds reaction gave me the impression that others opinions were the same as mine. That's whats been eating at me! Hehe. Other random relevant questions at the time could have also been, What's your favorite Biffy Clyro song? How long have you been following the band? What's your favorite song to play live?
  8. Hey guys, I'm making this thread so everyone can see what songs made the top five, how many times a song made the top 5, and where they were played. Thread will be updated with the gigs.
