Hey everyone i think some of you remember my older Muse-themed illustrations, and here i strike with a portion of new ones, because new album - new set. It was actually started long-long time ago, right as soon as Dig Down was first released, and the Dig Down pic was at first different, but then resulted in it being fully re-made %) it was fun doing these. To avoid any questions - yes, i listened to the leak XD and had two days to draw. This time the main character of the illustrations is a girl with Motoko Kusanagi-like hairdo and every pic has a use of binary code texture. :3 Algorithm, GUAF and The Void have references to the Matrix (code and plugs). The Dark Side has symbolism of the moon which is mostly dark here, with only a narrow crescent meaning a glimpse of light. Pressure has the formula of pressure exponential growth suggested by a friend. BITM has my favourite no-evil theme which i associate with secrets and truth confined. SH includes nature (a flower and an animal) meaning something peaceful and serene, this motif is also used in GUAF. You can like or reblog this on Tumblr or on Twitter. I'm planning on doing all of Matt's iconic Mansons, and compiling them in a video at the end. I'm working on the Keytar, Bomber, 007 and Doubleneck at the moment. I'll eventually get to the Laser, Delorean, Carbon, Mirror and probably a few others. I'm not actually sure which ones to include/leave out (I'm fairly sure I don't want to do every guitar he's ever used lol), so you can let me know which ones you want to see. http://zomuse.tumblr.com/tagged/guitars
Hi all, when the Drones album was release I was loving it straight away. Then I heard about the story behind it (http://www.musewiki.org/Drones_(album)) It was such a beautiful story. I began drawing it straight away. I did include my own interpretation in it though. After I made all the drawings, I thought, let's make myself a special Drones album out of it. The end result was pretty cool so I shared it with people and had great feedback. I'm really curious what the hardcore Muse fans think about it so please share your opinions. I made a presentation on behance (https://www.behance.net/gallery/33647738/Fanart-Muse-album-Drones) Hope you like it.
I'd like to share with Muse and fans this piece of illustration I've worked on recently. It's an art made for the covar/inner folder of 2nd Law, based mostly on the bonus song "Unsustainable" and on the 2nd law of thermodynamics (cover and first page, "2ND LAW BACK.jpg"), and specially on the songs "Supremacy", "Survival", "Animals" and "Big Freeze", but taking into account the vibes and energy that the other songs on the album carry along (inner part of the folder, "2ND LAW FRONT.jpg"). The outer images are a synthesis of what's to come later, representing the "infinite progress" intent bringing the whole structure to collapse ("Unsustainable"). The image on the inner part represents a society starting from scratch after a natural disaster ("Survival" and "Madness"), growing into an anarchic state ("Panic Station") that ended up on war ("Prelude" and "Survival"), leaving only those who managed to fit into groups to survive ("Follow Me"). While the groups with power and lands competed and merged together into one single mass ("Animals"), those to the margin of society fond their way exploring science, art, and all kinds of limits and possibilities for life ("Explorers"). When the interests of both these kinds of groups come together, an era of rapid and dinamic progress would begin, which, on the other hand, would make clear that nature was finding its way through showing who truly rules again ("Big Freeze", and that's where we, 21st century people, would fit in all this). Finally, in the last moments before the catastrophe begins, there is the absolute end of hope, and with it, the possibility to find bliss in the sublime view of such power ("Save Me"), and finally, that power expressing itsels, and making clear that nothing, nothing is solid enough to resist it ("Liquid State"). And then it all begins again. Hope you like it, and specially, hope this post gets enough attention so that anyone involved with the band might see and enjoy this trip like I did!
