  1. Hi, does anyone have Dr Pepper's Jaded Hearts Club's full set from TCT 2018? I know it's not strictly Muse, but Matt's in it, so should be worth a listen.
  2. I was talking with a friend of mine about Matthew Bellamy's live performances of Bliss. My friend joked that Bellamy's vocal escalation to the falsetto was like a spaceship warping into space. I decided to make a video evoking that as well as other feelings I experience when I listen to the magnificence that is Bellamy's falsetto. Anyways, here it is: I used a number of clips from various sci-fi movies and live performances of Bliss. They are as follows: - Bliss (Live at Reading Festival 2006) - Armageddon (1998) - Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) - Bliss (Live 8 2005) - Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) - Bliss (Live at Rock Am Ring 2010) - Star Trek (2009) - Stargate (1994) - 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) - The Fountain (2006) - Bliss (Live at Radio 1's Big Weekend 2006) - Doctor Strange (2016) - Sunshine (2007) - Lucy (2014)

  4. Michelle Greenwood-Brown (previous surname "Wilcox") has just completed a pixelated Mosaic of Matthew Bellamy, it has just gone up for sale on eBay. if you live in Teignmouth (Muse's home town) you can come and see it at the TAAG Gallery. Michelle in 2009 created a mosaic guitar with the Resistance album cover that was signed by all three members of the band and was donated to The Helen Foundation, that sold for £8100. Here is a link to the mosaic for sale: http://my.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MyEbayBeta&CurrentPage=MyeBayNextSelling&ssPageName=STRK:ME:LNLK:MESEX Here is a link to the TAAG Gallery to explain how to visit and see the mosaic: http://www.teignmoutharts.org/. 20 percent of the final sale goes to TAAG. 5. (Sorry for the stupid title) Hello there. I was thinking the other day that maybe some parts of our voice tends to «die out» as we grow older. Do you think Matthew is able to reach the peak of his falsetto like he used to*? I notice that on Micro Cuts, a song they always seem to play at the same pitch, there is the legendary performance, Hullaboloo, and then there is the Wembley 2006 live performance, which I used for comparison. While the latter one is not a bad performance per se, it seems that Matthew sort of lucks through the song by shortening some of his singing, blur some of the vocals, and he does not scream with the same intensity as he did in Hullaboloo (or on the studio version, for that matter). Maybe he had to dial it down in order to hit the notes? Do you think Matt has to calm down on his voice because he can't reach those high notes or am I simply making mountains out of molehills? I've seen a lot of people claiming his falsetto has «changed», do you think this is the case? * Ca. 2000-2002
  6. Hello everyone! I just wanted to post this survey in the hope that if any of you want and have the time will help me out by answering it. It's only for a school project and I want to find out if you would like this. It would be awesome if you could watch this video first (you can just check parts to get the idea) VIDEO Here's the survey Thank you very much in advance! Have a great weekend!
  7. So we all know that a lot of books that Matt has read has been an inspiration for songs. The Grand Chessboard, 1984, Confessions of an Economic Hitman etc. I wanted to create a thread to share books that you've recently read that Muse could write a song about. And maybe Matt will read this thread and check out some of the books we recommended One book that I loved was Yellow Blue Tibia by Adam Roberts. The background to the plot is that after World War 2, Stalin orders some science fiction writers to come up with a made up alien threat to the world so that the world can unite behind Communism because he fears that since the war is over and that the Soviet Union will probably prevail over USA, there won't be a common enemy to unite people and that communism will decay. After nearly completing the story the writers are asked to scrap their project and not to speak of it. The story follows one of those writers as he finds out that the events of their imagination is starting to come true (for example they imagined radiation aliens attacking the Ukraine, then Chernobyl happens). In the end he finds that aliens actually exist but can move between alternate realities. Thats why its so rare and hard to see them. Interesting no? Any good readings you guys know about?

  9. Hey people Got an extension on my dissertation that I have to do for my BA photography degree and what I've found while studying is that music without words works really well for me, helps me get into the studying sooooo much smoother than without it. Lately I been listening to the Twilight score by Carter Bruwell, but I need more! I don't know much about classical but I been listening to Muse since Showbiz and Bellamy's knowledge and the influence of classical is evident since the beginning. I'm listening to track 10 on Resistance as I write, love the piano, as I do the piano solo on the end of United States of Europa. Does anyone know who has influenced Muse in this form of music; it's theatrical and deep and soooo soothing. If Bellamy done a piano solo album I'd be stealing it from HMV and getting chased thru Truro town centre by security if I couldn't afford; so if anyone has any ideas what artists Bellamy has been influenced by classically, and/or know what might I like, it be great to hear from you Peace xx P.S. Now I'm at track 11 - sooo lush!!!
  10. I'm looking for that picture of the message that Matt wrote to some fan or whatever (don't i sound nonchalant while i'm actually dying of jealousy?). The one where he misspells 'beautiful'... 'it is as simple as that, you are so beautiful in every dimension' or something along those lines.. my computer 'splodes and now i have lost it cheers friend
  11. I found this in a random website. Post yours if you want. Matt Bellamy “facts:” The spikes in Matthew Bellamy's hair are really antenna he uses to communicate with aliens. Scientists have come to the conclusion that Men are indeed from Mars and cited Matthew Bellamy as proof. No word yet on women being from Venus. A person who claimed to have seen everything was proven wrong when the ‘Sing for Absolution’ video came out. Before seeing Matthew Bellamy try to act, the person had never seen worse acting than Hayden Christenson’s performance in the Star Wars prequels. Matthew Bellamy is Luke Skywalker's real father. Half of the tin foil in the world is woven to make Matthew Bellamy’s shiny pants. When Matthew Bellamy moved to Lake Como in Italy his eyes gave it low self esteem. When twisted fans sent Matthew Bellamy saying they would kill themselves if he did not sleep with them, Matthew Bellamy proceeded to fuck them through the phone. Then he killed them. Matthew Bellamy’s falsetto is the result of God mixing up his and his sister’s vocal chords as punishment him for being an atheist. It backfired. Now God works for Matthew Bellamy under the alias of Dominic Howard. Eight years ago Matthew Bellamy had the aliens on Cydonia clone his mind in case he ever lost it. Over the last eight years Matthew Bellamy has gone through more minds then Courtney Love has gone through rehabs stays over the course of her entire life. Matthew Bellamy counted to infinity…… twice. Matthew Bellamy can put out water with fire. Matthew Bellamy is hooked up to a nuclear reactor during live shows. That is why Matthew Bellamy never runs out of energy. Ever. Matthew Bellamy wrote every song 50 Cent ever did when he was on Magic Mushrooms. As punishment, he had to be interviewed by Dylan and Marianella on Fuse’s Daily Download. Once Matthew Bellamy met Bill O’Reilly. Someone took a picture. Bill O’Reilly magnified Matthew Bellamy’s looks so much that no man on Earth except for Matthew Bellamy could get laid for six months. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. The only thing Dominic Howard, guitar techs, and fear have to fear is Matthew Bellamy.
