  1. I think so, probably some of their best work, last 2 albums have gone other places but just didn't hit that mark at all imo. Here's to hoping they peak again anyway edit: F^"$^ing ghey....won't let me make poll.
  2. Anyone still remember something about another Muse documentary coming out on DVD last March? Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRn3eslkiLA

If u wabt include live recordings of songs but i do recommend just b sides
  4. Most of my friends love Undisclosed Desires and United States of Eurasia, and call themselves fans, and that they all "really" want to come to the Aus tour, but shouldn't they leave these positions to the true fans?
  5. This is my first thread, please be nice I looked it up and everything, there doesn't seem to be anything like this one (there's one for JUST the resistance, but I thought there should be one for the songs in general). This is also not the same as "Easter Eggs in Muse songs". Basically, little moments in Muse songs that you love, that you always hear, that make you smile or whatever For example, the piano running all the way through Sunburn, not just the little bit at the beginning... The way it changes and you don't really notice it... Also the bass line in Sunburn (I'm listening to it right now heehee) So yeah, what's yours?
  6. http://www.nme.com/news/muse/52903 Muse's Matt Bellamy has said that he is thinking about writing a "more personal" music project following the band's recent epic albums and shows. The band are set to play Wembley Stadium on Friday and Saturday (September 10 and 11), but the singer/guitarist has said that, after those shows, he will work on material that would be more fitting for smaller venues. "I feel like we can't go much bigger in terms of the kinds of concerts we're playing," he told Time Out. "Weirdly, that seems to have coincided with my personal life destabilising about a year ago. I split from a relationship… I was doing lots of self-analysing." He added: "I sense that that's going to lead to a writing project that will be more personal, rather than talking about grand political concerns. That itself might lead to material that's more suitable for smaller venues." Muse opened their UK tour, playing the Lancashire County Cricket Club's Old Trafford ground last Saturday (September 4).
  7. To celebrate Muse's forthcoming UK stadium shows in Manchester and London over the next two weeks we're running a little competition here on muse.mu. The prize is the setlist from the band's performance at Glastonbury this year signed by Matt, Dom and Chris - a proper collectors item for any Muse fan! The winner will also get a couple of new merch items as will two runners up. To be in with a chance of winning, all you need to do is email us at competitions@muse.mu with the subject line GLASTONBURY SETLIST COMPETITION and then in the email, tell us your name and address and the answer to the following question... Q: U2's The Edge joined Muse on stage at Glastonbury this year to play 'Where The Streets Have No Name'. In which year and month was this single originally released? We'll announce the winners here later this month. Good luck! Source: http://muse.mu/news/article/699/win-a-signed-glastonbury-setlist/

  9. having read these forums for a while i decided to register today, and share a first look at the new stage I knew based on discussions here that the new stage was apparently a white pyramid design, and it caught my attention the other day when i saw a stage matching this description get put up at the national bowl So anyway here is a photo i took from outside of the bowl - its not of a great quality and doesnt give a huge amount away, just basically confirming what people think that it is a white pyramid. The picture doesnt really do it justice but seriously, even from a distance and only seeing half of it in daylight, it does look amazing and now im super excited for the tour lol (i'll attach it as a link so anyone who doesnt want to see it yet doesn't have to to) http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/9150/musestage.jpg ------------------------------- EDIT: since taken a better photo which can be seen further in this thread (page 5), but if you cant be bothered to look heres the new one - http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/6784/musestagefull.jpg

  13. (Nicked from Muselive ) http://www.20min.ch/news/bern/story/-Demonstranten--fuer-Konzert-gesucht-15338057 As a federal city Bern has enough demonstration experience. The British mega stars of Muse want to profit from that. At short notice they're looking for 70 "demonstrators" who will provide the opening of the concert spectacle at Stade de Suisse on Wednesday. "The show is to start with the performance of a mass protest", says Marc Reinhard from Good News. The musicians thought up the idea for this unusual opening part only in the last couple of days: Wild demonstrators, equipped with banners and posters, march across the stage protesting. "Participants need to be of age and have time to rehearse tomorrow evening from 17:30 onwards", says Reinhard. As a thank you the day after the demonstrator extras can enjoy the concert. [cba to translate this bit] Meanwhile, at the Stade de Suisse about 140 workers to build up the brand new and unconventional construction stage are employed. But for 16 tractors were needed. In addition there are 33 trucks, herankarren the lighting and video technology. (google translated) [lazy translation ahead] If you're interested send an e-mail containing your name, age and cellphone number to promotion@goodnews.ch. All positive answers and rejections wil be made by Monday evening. Thanks Fuesch for the translation!
  14. If you had the choice to see/hear Cave or Feeling Good, which one would you choose
  15. Article on NME.com about guitar heroes and Matt was mentioned: 'Critics stroke their chins to the bone trying to rationalise Muse's colossal mainstream appeal. It's no great mystery: Matt Bellamy is a proper, jaw-on-the-floor guitar hero, and there aren't too many of those about. He plays with a skill that's beyond the reach of the average human being. It's inspiring.' Loads of Muse flaming in the comments at the bottom of the article too Link: http://www.nme.com/blog/index.php?blog=146&p=8894&title=whatever_happened_to_the_guitar_hero&more=1&c=1

  18. A limited number of tickets for all three of Muse's shows in the UK this summer will be released for sale this Friday. These include a very small amount of General Admission (standing and Level 1) and Level 2 tickets for Wembley Stadium. The tickets go on sale at 09:00 on Friday from the link below. In addition, there has been a change to the line-up for the band's show at Lancashire County Cricket Ground. Check out their website by clicking on the pic below! Source: http://muse.mu/news/article/672/extra-tickets-for-uk-dates-released/
  19. I have no idea if this is true or not. I heard from a friend who knows some people at Lees and West, he said that these were dates for an Australian tour later in the year. Haven't been able to find it anywhere on the web so take it with a grain of salt, but it fits in with what they said earlier in the year and I have checked but none of the venues are holding events on the dates mentioned, if that makes it any more valid?.. Brisbane - Brisbane Entertainment Centre - November 20 Sydney - ACER Arena - November 23 Sydney - ACER Arena - November 24 Melbourne - Rod Laver Arena - November 26 Melbourne - Rod Laver Arena - November 27 Adelaide - Adelaide Entertainment Centre - November 30 Perth - Burswood Dome - December 2 He didn't mention anything about NZ dates but I would imagine they would be around then sometime as well. As I said, take this with a grain of salt as of course nothing official has been mentioned, but I still thought it was worth posting. Hopefully we will hear something in the coming couple of weeks.
  20. Sorry if there's an existing thread but I couldn't see one! I'm very tempted to buy a ticket but I wouldn't be able to afford to stay over, not so close to the Paris gigs. I wonder how easy it would be to attend the gig, maybe staying over just the night before, then heading to the airport straight after as I've done in Dublin a couple of times. Anyone else thinking of travelling over from the UK?
