  1. It's what I wrote, but the point goes a little beyond that, as points usually do. I started elaborating about it, but deleted it. No point. That's why I added "my opinion". Feel free to disagree.
  2. Many songs are relatable for me right now, but one that feels as though it was written for me is Host. "I’ve read you well I just wanna get away Cos' you used my love I just need to get away My trust in you has been abused My trust in you has been overused Sick of this space Wish we could be far away Cos' I wasted all my youth I’ll never see it again My trust in you has been abused My trust in you has been overused I will welcome you to everything Because you've bled me dry now I just wanna run away Because you've bled me dry now I just wanna run away I just wanted too much I wish we could be far away And if my wish comes true You’ll never see me again" This describes my current relationship with my partner. Or rather, my feelings about it. I strongly relate to many of their songs, but this one hit me real hard. Another one I can relate to a lot Is Explorers. I love that song to death. I relate to it because I'm so tired of the world and the people in it. "Free me from this world" indeed! Then there's *gasps* Songs that are descriptive of my romantic relationship: Dead Inside, Hate This And I'll Love You, Muscle Museum, Time Is Running Out, Nature_1, Guiding Light, Showbiz, Falling Away With You, Uno, Songs that describe the relation to my mother: The Handler and Escape, Songs that fit my most valued friendship: Invincible, Endlessly, Unintended, Screenager, and Bliss, which I think really fits my aunt. And even though I don't relate to them per se, Follow Me and Hoodoo hold a special place in my heart because they describe my current emotional state to a fucking tee. So yeah. Lots of Muse songs.
  3. I've rediscovered Showbiz, and parts Of OOS. Mainly due to a newfound love for Muse and listening to entire albums at once. It made me see connections I had missed completely in the past. But I occasionally re-realise the amazingness of many songs. Soldier's Poem, for instance. Great song with a wonderful and sad message.
  4. I guess I became a fan in 2013, but I've listened to them for years before that. The first song by Muse that I ever heard was Unintended. That was somewhere around 2004. Back then I wasn't huge into music, so I didn't think to check out artists. I just heard songs that I liked and downloaded them. But then a few years later, I met someone who liked Muse, and who introduced me to them. She showed me a lot of songs and from there I became gradually more interested in them. Then in 2013, I attended my first Muse concert and fell head over heels for them. Listened to all their albums and was obsessed for a while. And of course I fell in love with Matt. Then my obsession died down after a while. Until last year, that is. In 2016, I went to another one. This time the whole experience was a lot different, for several reasons. Both good and bad, but mostly good. Since then I've gotten my enthusiasm back, but I wouldn't say I'm obsessed now. I have read a lot about the though, and come to respect them as people and artists. Their music has helped and continues to help me through trying times. It's the only space where I can forget about my problems for a little while. And now I've bought some amazing IEMs, so I'm expecting to fall even more in love with the band.
  5. This. So this. Everything you said. Completely agree with you. Also, I'd like to add that it's easy to complain when you're not in the shoes of the person or people being complained about. But hey, that's just my opinion.
  6. You're probably right, but would be awesome if we got a visit to Scandinavia in 2018 at least. If they start one in late 2018, there's a good chance they might be coming here next year. I'm just getting more and more into them. Been watching live videos nonstop the last few days and a few making of-vids. Aaah, love it.
  7. Nice! I'm hoping for another world tour next year. I need to see them again at least one time when something isn't holding back my enjoyment. Next Muse concert I will make sure to not repeat the same mistakes from the last two.
  8. I agree with you completely, but I think it would have been somewhat worth it if it included a meeting at least. What they are currently offering is not at all interesting to me, so I won't be supporting it in any case. We have indeed seen those songs, but we also got Knights Of Cydonia, Plug In Baby and Take A Bow at the last one. I don't check setlists, so I don't know if all of those were in there or if it was a spur of the moment thing.
  9. *carefully peeks through the door* H-hi. I'm new here. Kind of. I'm seeing a lot of disgruntled fans here and I don't understand why. Granted, I haven't been a Muse fan for as long as some other people. I've been to two Muse concerts in Norway. I thought they were great, although the energy of the first one was certainly higher than the second one, but they were still both amazing experiences in my opinion. I hear people talking about Matt's lame stage persona and lacking guitar action? I haven't seen that, neither in the concerts I saw live nor the ones I've seen on YouTube. He seems pretty energetic and active to me on stage. And I've loved the setlists he had here. But then again, there's not a Muse song I dislike entirely. I like some more than others, but none where I think "oh no, not this one". Anyway. I was wondering, do the V.I.P tickets not include a meeting with them? I could have sworn they had that in 2013. Only, then I couldn't afford that. When I could afford it last year, I didn't buy them because it just doesn't seem worth it if it doesn't include a brief meeting with the band.
  10. Wow, for a forum that's supposed to be for Muse fans, there sure are a lot of dicks around. Oh, well, that's just the Internet, I suppose. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knows how long it normally takes until new dates are posted? And if it's the end of the tour, how long it typically takes until the next one begins? Do they normally have a new album prepared by the time they're done with each tour, or does it take a year or two before they do anything new? I realise that nobody who isn't directly involved with the band can know specifics about what's happening now or in the near future. I'm asking how it normally goes down. I assume that long-time, die hard fans could possibly answer this.
