[Reapers Dive Bomb Sound in Solo]

Super random question, but I'm hoping this is the right board to ask it.

 

So the dive bomb sound matt makes with his guitar, how does one do that? I know it's with a digitech whammy pedal, but other than that I'm so curious, it's the only part of the solo I need to learn.
