  1. Somebody critiqued 60cycle hum for an unboxing and review vid and they took offense to them taking an amp out of the box off screen:rolleyes: Comments section is a wasteland! Also, my Wampler Tumnus has never been switched off.
  2. It's really great! I toyed with the idea of selling it recently but that has more to do with most of my playing these days being clean with my strat into a DI or acoustic on my Taylor at church. That swirl DL1
  3. Your stealth MA is like the lefty twin of mine, don't feel bad I had to wait on my black 510 bridge tailpiece for months. Hope she gets to you quickly!!
  4. I'm going to throw out a price of $2500. Guitar with Hiscox case and standard Manson's strap. In original Manson's box shipped to your door in the US lower 48. Has almost all the boss level upgrades. I hate to sell it but I can already envision my first custom order. Feel free to ask and I'll send the original invoice from Adrian. First pic is from Joe at the works, second is the day it got here and the third is very recent showing the lack of wear to the dry satin black finish. More pics on request.
  5. I've had my stealth MA-2 for about six months and I'm thinking of selling it. I play my strat and my PRS when I do play out and I'm shopping for some boring live sound stuff for my worship gig. Not sure about price as I have already sorted the customs stuff for this one and the exchange rate has moved in our favor some since my order. I'd really like it to go to a K&T'er. I'm not expecting to get nor am I going to ask for an imperial vintage size markup, that's for sure. Anybody in the market? It's already here in the US. Comes with Hiscox and standard Manson's suede strap. Covered MBK-2 in black, Sustainiac pro, straplocks, 510 hardware upgrade (Bridge, tail, locking tuners), coil tap, kill button. I can't spot any real wear for those nervous about the dry satin black finish. As seen on Tim Stark's Instagram last summer "black is the new black"
  6. Start with it first, if you have a wah-wah or a fuzz that like the fuzz factory then run it after those. I run it as early as I can. The two knob Keeley has been in my chain since before I realized MB had one. I think the compressor is such an underrated part of peoples rigs. My Fuzzhead loves having the comp into it as a boost on the other hand so you can play with it to taste.

  8. Aside from a power conditioner you're probably gonna have to live with it. I'd bet that the tone cap touched the shielding paint in the cavity. Glad you got it figured out, lots of times it's easy to assume the worst.
  9. Turn the volume all the way down. Is it dead quiet? I'm probably a jerk for asking but did you try another cable? I'd also check the jack too. That's a weak spot for every guitar I've owned and in my experience more likely to be a culprit. Take the back plate off and with the guitar plugged in start moving the wires that go from volume to tone and the hot wire to the jack a little bit. touch the back of the volume pot and see if the hum goes away. I love a complete gut and rewire as much as anybody but it might be a simple deal.
  10. I missed one detail on my stealth order and finally got it squared away. FYI this is just the standard Gotoh neck plate and screws, easy swap. Never mind the spec of dust.
  11. That's a burst alright! My clean tone is pretty dark before I add anything to it. The funny thing is when i was running an Einstein or a VH4 I rarely left any pedals in my chain. I do agree that the BE-OD is oversold in some of the videos and I'm probably not totally honest with myself because my always on signal these days is a Keeley Comp and a Wampler Tumnus, so maybe I just need 65% of the tone? I would love to demo a few of the new amp in a box pedals, I did get a chance to try the Bogner uber one and was not impressed at all. Every time I see the VH4 pedals I ask myself if they model channel 3 or 4 and if they have the EL34 or the KT77 power section?
  12. Anybody get a chance to play one of these? I took a chance because I've been working on a pedal rig to play at church. It's unreal how good it is. I backed the internal trim pot down to about 40% and with the gain knob on zero it's Clapton dream tone and on max it as good as any amp I've played. Expensive but a very grown up tone, not fizzbox at all.
  13. A lot of the time I wouldn't get a name, he'd just say a big country band. I mean that I should have made a bigger deal because it wasn't a rock or metal guy. I have heard his story about selling a nocaster to John 5, I played Bugs Henderson's 85 PRS standard 24 and got to handle a few of Doyle Dyke's smoking custom Taylors. I was kind of impressed by a Hammer that was a Rick Neilson tourer.
  14. The vast majority of them I played were super boring, but I never really appreciated the blues and country guys as much as I probably should have. Usually most stories about guitars owned by famous people are way out of proportion.
