Will say, as much as I like the medley, I hope they aren’t planning on keeping it exactly the same every night. Would get tired really quickly with it being so long I think - for the band as well, not just us who follow the performances. Shouldn’t be hard either, given how interchangable the songs are and having stuff like Hyper Music, Yes Please, US, Execution Commentary, the GOB riff and TSP waiting in the wings.
They may keep it, the crowd were going absolutely crazy behind you. It got a really good reaction.
-
Ah...v possible as I stopped watching footage of the US tour last year
Ah thank fuck then, and to think I said to the person next to me “bet they’ve scrapped something decent” when they put down the new ones
I would look at the Napa Bottlerock 2018 video that is on YouTube. The sound quality is fantastic, dare I say better than the official DVDs. Even Resistance sounds good haha.
-
What songs did they play in the medley?
Also, still closing with Knights
Stockholm, Assassin, Reapers, The Handler, Dead Star, Micro Cuts, Newborn and the Ashamed outro.
EDIT: Beaten too it
-
That was the front row crew, the ones who go and queue. They have a little campaign going on. Controversial... I Saw a big stack of them on the floor outside so I wondered if they weren't allowed.
Ah right. I must say that I don't think the band really took much notice, to be honest:(
Not that it really effects me, I am up in the God's at London Stadium anyway
-
Am I the only one who loves unsustainable 🤣
Nope, I love it too. Tonight was the first time I have ever seen it live, rarer than Showbiz for me
-
Yungblud were a bit shit haha. The Fever 333 supported Bring Me The Horizon on Friday night, and they were much better.
-
There was a scrum on the left side of the barrier for a drum stick. About 3 people had their hands on it and were pulling too and thro, someone even turned around and put their hands on it about 20 seconds after it had been thrown  It was pretty embarrassing behaviour! Latest about 2mins
I, for one, loved the medley. It was great to get snips of lots of obscure songs. I'd rather have 7-8 classic, rare riffs than 1-2 of the metal tracks.
What was the business at the barrier during Uprising, was that a protest at the barrier tickets for the stadium shows? Couldn't work out the signs
Yeah i noticed them too. Thought i saw Jobby saying there were protest signs being handed out near him, but couldn't see what the signs said.
I had to laugh at the mosh pit during Cock. What happens when a mosh pit turns into ring-a-ring-a-roses haha

Guys, that fucking medley!!! Oh my god!!! This gig was absolutely incredible.
Algorithm and Break it to Me sound great too. As did Showbiz
-
I am very excited for this show. Going to be my first time at the RAH, 8th time seeing the actual band.
Now eating at a nearby Garfunkels before the gig. Cant go in hungry haha.
-
So what do we reckon is the order for the videos? I haven't watched the videos enough but I guess Algorithm goes into Pressure, then Thought Contagion? The Dark Side comes right after Something Human I guess but where is Dig Down and Break It To Me in all this?
Well, Dig Down is before Thought Contagion, as at the start of the TC video, he is playing DD on an arcade machine.
-
Yay!!! I got in, but holy shit, that was a clusterfuck. Apparently stall seats sold out the first 2 times but magically reappeared on my third attempt.
-
I absolutely love the backing vocals in the chorus. I love the whole song, the riff sounds a bit like Blue Orchid.
-
I am really looking forward to this album. I like Muse's poppy side as much as their rocky side , so this one sounds good so far. Particularly like The Dark Side, reminds me a bit of Easily, mixed with old 80's videogame music.
-
This new song is absolutely amazing. I liked Thought Contagion and Something Human too, and I have earned to Dig Down over the last few months so I am looking forward to the gospel version of that.
Bring it on!

You guys are complaining about the lyrics, yet you are having an intellectual discussion about the meaning of them, about 4 pages in this thread worth in fact.
So, technically, the song has created discussion about the effects of the media, so the lyrics are succesful then?
Back on topic though, i believe the worst media for this is in fact Facebook ( i dont use Twitter so cannot speak for that). It basically has an algorithm which works out qhich way you lean politically. For example, in the last two votes we had in the UK, i went with Remain and Labour. Guess what sort of propaganda i get on a daily basis?
It just concerns me that these people who went with Brexit and Trump are just in this "information bubble" where they are shown articles extolling the virtues of these ridiculous results, but they are never shown the other side of the debate, or are too set in their mentality to even consider the other sides views.
We have a major problem with racism in our town, in particular against our European guys. Its absolute bullshit. 90% of my staff are Lithuanian, and i often have to complain to the site manager about how they are treated. The truth is that they are absolutely fucking brilliant workers, they are reliable, and the vast majority were supplied to me by agencies, when their 6 months were up, i almost always call them up to the office and give them permanent contracts. It annoys me when some chavvy dickhead in a club starts on them, especially when they themselves have probably never worked a day in their life, but just whinge about how nobody does anything for them. Indeed has 368 jobs within 20 miles of the town, dont tell me you cant get a job. I really do believe that this hate is fuelled by things they see on Facebook like Britain First etc.
Sorry for the rant after a rant, but i look after my people
-
I sincerely hope you guys have as great a time as we had at SBE. Best gig i have ever been too. When the piano notes on Glorious kicked in, everybody ariund me looked at each other with pure joy on their faces, what an epic moment.

I don’t get why it’s so difficult to understand that bad lyrics that are in your face can be an issue no matter how little you care about lyrics in general. Actually I’m pretty sure Tuck Norris understands this, he’s just pretending not to so his post seems more logical.
They really are not in your face though. The lyrics are second to the music with Muse, always have been. In 2001, he was asked what the lyrics of New Born were about, he didnt have a clue what to say.
Its a great track, regardless of the lyrics. The bassline is amazing, and i love the little piano bits on the first "bitten by" section. And the "woooaaahhh" bits are catchy as hell.
-
Can people really not see how similar to Fury this new song? I saw the connection as soon as the bass started.
As for the lyrics, who the fuck listens to Muse for the lyrics? It would be like going to see a Die Hard film for the romantic story.
I love this new song. Its classic Muse with a pop twist.

Stop saying I'm a troll. And I meant when a whole song is constructed stripped down with only acoustic, bass and drums. And I'm not moving goal posts either. I just simply don't want Muse to go in that direction where we won't even hear a guitar amplified.
That's fair enough, but to say acoustic guitar is boring is just full on Trump.
