  1. No sir, I am basically saying that I do not like the song. I don't expect anyone to agree and I most certainly wouldn't expect anyone to make out that there is some sort of right or wrong answer either. Nice try. Not enjoying 1 track that may include influence from the Baroque period does not suggest that I think Bach (or any other artist) composed silly harmonization. The album was said to be heavier and rock orientated. You intentionally get involved with an argument that is over 3 days old and call me a troll. How ironic.
  2. Oh right I didn't even realise this was shown prior to their performance that day. I was most likely tied up watching a band elsewhere. Spent most my time in the Maverick tent. Ice-T was awesome.
  3. Yeah true. Its just the main reason I went was because I knew from day one it would be a heavy/unique setlist (way before they even announced that it would be). So its just me being greedy and wanting more old stuff haha. I've seen Slipknot before so I really wasn't bothered. Shame about your tent experience though. Mine cost me £5 and I was dry as a bone all weekend!
  4. Making out that I have gone from one excuse and reasoning to another is retarded. I gave my opinion, you challenged it and I answered. And yes you did misunderstand. The song in question may or may not be played live... who knows? It is merely what I believe. But to compare an A cappella to 2 alternate songs that contain all elements of music, that require at least all 3 band members to participate in is rather silly. I'm pretty confident that anyone with knowledge in the music industry would partly agree here. Never the less I genuinely can't be arsed to argue anymore.
  5. I'm pretty sure my girlfriend isn't this hard to talk to. Would you like me to use bullet points? Clearly opinions on this message board are not very sought after, unless a clear statement and signature in blood is provided. I was off-topic anyway. Feel free to continue your Revolting discussion.
  6. You seem to have fell off the bandwagon. Here, let me help you up.
  7. You misunderstand. The vocals overlap with harmony. I don't think Drones would be played live because it probably isn't even possible for a start. Unless they cloned Matt Bellamy or just played back the recorded version, like they would JFK for example. The track is garbage. I liked Big Freeze. Pretty gutted they've never played it live in fact. But that doesn't stop me from disliking Revolt either.
  8. PROPER song. As in the song is improper to my personal preference (ie. it ends the album on a bad note). The last track on all their other albums are very good. If Globalist was the last track I'd have been so much happier. If Big Freeze and FAWY haven't been played live how does that suggest that Drones probably will? Sorry pal but you seem way too over confident for such a shitty track.
  9. The set list was real good but it wasn't perfect for me. First half was epic, then they just played their hits. I'd much rather SMBH and Uprising were replaced with the likes of Muscle Museum, The Small Print or Hyper Music for example. Anyways I'm just glad it went down well Slipknot were way overrated all weekend though. It did my nut in. Every radio station around camp, every stall, every bar, etc was playing their stuff. I use to like them but they are just a headache now. According to their fans it was no where near their best performance either. Glad it rained and I gave them a miss.
  10. I do not think that Drones is a proper song because I believe that: 1. It will very rarely (or probably never) get played live. 2. We already have 2 interludes on the album. If no one cares then why have I been quoted several times? I thought the thread was for everyone's opinion, regardless of whether they like the song in question or not?
  11. They promised a rock album and as per, Matt cannot help himself sneaking in a couple of bad tracks. Anyway. What's with all the bashing? It's not gonna change my mind and make me like the song
  12. Its getting real muddy in the village. So day ticket holders be sure to bring wellies. Apparently the rain is gonna die off slightly this evening around 7/8 oclock. I just hope they make it worthwhile and play an awesome setlist with plenty of old stuff.
  13. Yeah average setlist length for Download headliners is 20 songs. Another guy in here linked me to a System of a Down setlist and theirs was 26 or 27. Where as Slipknot, Rammstein and Aerosmith have been more like 18/19. The only songs I missed out really were Supermassive and Time is Running Out. I've heard them live 7 times though and they're just boring. When Starlight comes on I always go for a time out (toilet or bar). Yep. They are on stage for 1 hour 45 mins. 18 is very likely with that time scale if they play a couple of lengthy tracks.
  14. This is more or less what I'm hoping for and half expecting setlist wise: (in no particular order) Reapers Psycho The Handler Microcuts Dead Star Agitated Yes Please Muscle Museum Hyper Music Plug in Baby The Small Print Assassin Bliss Stockholm Syndrome Knights of Cydonia Hysteria New Born Citizen Erased PLEASE NOT FUCKING STARLIGHT.
  15. Even more excited now. Sounds to me like they're gonna be playing a handful of oldies then? Heavy songs for me would definitely be Agitated and Yes Please. But Hyper Music, Dead Star, Citizen Erased and Micro Cuts would definitely suffice. Pretty pissed off that the dog tag page has been down all day. Took forever to get my ticket and I still can't sort my spending money out. Pre-festival organisation has been awful this year.
  16. Gave the album a full listen today and I've changed my mind slightly. Aftermath is actually awesome. Oh and Defector is growing on me now. Revolt and Drones are still awful though. Globalist is... I still don't know.
  17. Reapers and The Handler are both awesome. Defector, Psycho, Mercy and Dead Inside are okay. They're nothing special but you can't not like them. Revolt is embarrassing. Aftermath is boring. Drones is a joke. The biggest let down was The Globalist. The riff that kicks in half way through has so much potential to be a kick ass song and the rest of what I heard just completely ruined it. Overall album score is a 3 out of 5 at most.
