  1. Going to O2 on the 3rd. Are there any spots along the stage that's favoured or better than others? Do Matt do barrier walks this tour around as well?

    Same, will be there too,

where are you planning on standing, don't wanna watch too many YT videos to spoil it all, so any suggestions on where to stand near the front to get best Matt action and still see visuals, etc ?

  2. Aftermath

And Matt *really* seems to not want to play Showbiz.

I think hearing it on the french Radio show made him go FUCK ME, that ending would be tough! Which it would but I honestly think on a good night he could give it a blast!

If not, the riffage is still AWESOME!

  3. On Sundays (this will affect people going to the April 3rd gig), there's a 10:15pm curfew, although U2 went one minute over that when I saw them last October.

Most London weeknight gigs normally finish around 10:30-11. Would imagine these to be 9:15-11 run-times, based on it being a 1hr45 gig, although they may go on slightly earlier if they're doing a longer set.

Yes, doors are 6, instead of the usual 6.30 on the Sunday gig.

  4. The o2 has fairly strict curfew times, even Madonna started on time (which she never does nowadays), so would expect a 11pm finish

Saw Guns N Roses a few years back twice, got out of the gig at 1am and 1.30am!

Acts can go past 11, they just have to pay a fee, which I'm sure they won't want!

  5. Interesting views. By the way I meant to say Now advertised at a loss not Not.

Anyway, I do think they have overestimated the interest in these shows (certainly in London).

It's annoying as I struggled to get tickets for other shows and have missed Muse gigs in the past as decent priced tickets weren't available but there are some bargains out there this time.

Don't think that's the main reason, more they are putting on multiple dates in each city more than ever to help pay for the tour, it's not cheap! I still think most venues will be mostly full when they come to town!

I hope they can add a song or two to the set lists on the UK leg, usually we see the biggest most interesting sets on the home gigs!

They have 2 weeks to think about the set now...

  6. Hey guys!! This is gonna be my first London O2 standing gig and I have a doubt.

I want to try and get to front row barrier, but I've only done that with MUSE in tiny venues or stadium tour where you queue in different doors, and then once they open your door you just run like there is no tomorrow (but without running).

No idea how it works in this case, since the O2 has only one main entrance. Does everybody queue outside until they open the doors and then run to the inside door and wait again there until 6pm?? I have entrance F and that's like in the back of the main entrance....do I need to train for the sprint? I'm getting stressed

Thanks for any information!!! I can't wait til 3rd April!!!!!!!!!!

If U want to make it to the front, you'll have to be competitive and RUN! Especially at London show #1 !

    See you there :)

  7. It sounded like one of Matt's typical evasive/slightly snarky answers, tbh. I still strongly believe they planned to play it in London, and that's the reason of the single's release.

They told a fan ages ago they were "saving it" for something.

Saving "Showbiz"? When was that said again?

  8. The interviewers knew the band pretty well, that's cool. I mean they knew about the Showbiz hashtag and asked whether Matt saw it, and apparently they've been keeping up with the setlists of the tour so far. I wish we had more interviews like this one.

Exactly, as if it was something that kept cropping up and being asked, it definitely would spur them on (remind them) that this IS what the audience wants to hear....

I tweeted Matt about "Showbiz" just today before reading this post actually, small world!

I know it's been long going, the hashtag #showbiz but he did say before when asked "Will you play Take a Bow again" YES and the same to "Dead Star" and "Assassin", so it takes them a while sometimes but they usually eventually get round to it, but sometimes just for a one off or 2 dates!

It would be nice to see "Showbiz" in the set for the UK gig as a reward to the die hards but most importantly, it fits so well with the Drones themes and acts nicely as the sister track to "Handler" as "Citizen" and "Globalist" have often been played together.

  9. Full BHAR secret slot maybe?

I've been thinking of this idea, since it's now it's 10th anniversary, like it was for Origin in 2011....

Would be nice, hope some festival put this idea to them to do it as an exclusive!

  10. So since the stage is side one for this gig, what would that mean for the stage set up and the whole "choreography" the the band's got going this tour?

Probably means, expect a lot less "Choreography" for these 2 gigs and lot more rocking out and spontaneity which will be a nice change up!!!

  11. Good they are going back to headline for a 3rd time! It's something of brother and sister lineup, Very 2000 era lineup so far, with Coldplay AND Muse! Loving it :)

I think the final one will be Radiohead, which will complete a brilliant set if you're into that sort of thing :D
