since we know the drones chant is in reapers I'm going for a quiet closer that haunts and draws attention to that fact that the process will reoccur over and over and over.
Maybe like Hoodoo or RBS
Drones will be an 8 minute track starting peacefully (first half is Monty Jam) then building and building like Only In Dreams, ending in blistering, world-destroying rock chaos.

I'm gonna predict that the song "Drones" ends with Matt screaming "WE'RE ALL MOTHERFUCKING DROOOOOOONES" in the exact same way that "Survival" ends with "YEAH I'M GONNA WIIIIIIINN"

Also - "their eventual defection from their oppressors" - last track is called Drones. When I heard the drones chant I thought they (or the individual) was brainwashed but perhaps this isnt the case. I'm interested to see how that track plays out.
Maybe it's a happy ending: the drone we follow throughout the tale ends up making drones out of the drones who were making drones into drones to begin with. DROOOONES

Does anyone else hope Monty Jam is in?
It could be maybe Defector or Aftermath, with vocals/lyrics, but it could also be a background instrumental to spoken stuff in JFK and I'd be happy with that too

It's happening
This album sounds like it could either be amazing, or absolutely awful. Only 10 tracks is a little underwhelming, but that worked for QOTSA with '...Like Clockwork' as it was all pure quality.
Yeah that was a goddamn amazing album, beginning to end. It's 10 tracks and 46 minutes but it feels like a solid hour of amazing music every time I listen to it. I hope Drones is similar.

About JFK, here's what I posted in the main thread:
That DP guy's resume listed videos for "Drill Sergeant" and "Hollow Point Bullet".
People thought that they were working titles for "Psycho" and "Dead Inside" but now we know at least the first one wasn't, and is actually a track on the album.
The other interlude track on the album is "JFK". One of the features of the huge JFK conspiracy theory is that the fragments in his skull match a hollow point bullet. Just google "JFK" and "hollow point bullet" together and you'll find tons of links.
So, my guess is that "Hollow Point Bullet" has become the track "JFK", and it will be some kind of interlude with a conspiracy person talking about the assassination.
And the DP's work? Well I guess he was making visuals for those interludes to be played live.

Funny thing is, I dreamt the other day that Muse released their new single, and completely updated their website, and updated their band logo... but alas, nothing when I woke up.
The other night I dreamt Dom was giving an interview and he was announcing the album and new single. I remember the single had a b-side, and that the album had 15 tracks. One of them was Who Knows Who for some reason and I was a bit disappointed, but not too much because there were 14 other songs on it!
