  1. This would be awesome imo: – Poetic Pitbull Revolutions by Diablo Swing Orchestra. Has the western / latin feel ala CoD, Hoodoo & KoC mixed with beefy guitar riffs and even some phaser tremolo action. Matt could likely even pull off the operatic parts.
  2. doubt they could pull off the whole song, but the riffs from 1:44 to 2:26 would be a great Stockholm outro. Same notes too in drop D so it would work. Second riff has a cool middle eastern vide that sounds a bit like Vuilstamen.
  3. Yes – I've just seen some people say or insinuate that T2L is better which I don't get. There are some good songs but overall T2L is an utter mess. And while I think Resistance is better, I listen to Drones more because the production of TR is just awful. Someone said "lifeless" recently which sums it up perfectly.
  4. I don't think Drones is nearly as bad as some of you are making it out to be. The production is great and I think the first half is really solid (besides the lyrics) but the second half does fall off a cliff. It's much better than the mess that was T2L and at least the production is miles better than Resistance, even though the songs aren't. In that vein, I wish Resistance could be remastered with the production of Drones – it would be worlds better. Songs like MK and US would be so much more epic.
  5. True... but just for kicks here would be a nice anti-trump set Drill Sargent >> Psycho Reapers Handler Uprising MK Ultra JFK>> Defector Ruled By Secrecy Megalomania Animals Unnatural Selection Assassin Stockholm Syndrome Citizen Erased >> Take a Bow Globalist -------------- City of Delusion Supremacy Survival they have gone a little overboard with political conspiracy songs in the last 12 years
  6. I was watching the Rome DVD tonight and was thinking the same thing when Animals came on. Animals, Take a Bow, MK Ultra, City of Delusion, Megalomania, Handler, Globalist – all would be pretty appropriate over here.
  7. Matt teases Jeff Buckley's "Grace" from 7:34 to 7:44 right before Chris starts TIRO. I hadn't thought of Grace in months and just listened to it about two hours before watching that video ... crazy.
  8. Simple question: which era of Muse can you not get enough of these days (including B-sides)? Showbiz, OOS, Abso, etc? It took me awhile to get into Showbiz because of how raw, idiosyncratic and – frankly – bizarre the songs are. But recently it just clicked and I can't get enough of MM, Cave, Uno, Unintended, Spiral, Recess, etc. I've just never heard anything else like those songs. How about you guys?
  9. I should preface this by saying I've only been to 2 shows, and while I somehow got Citizen, Dead Star and Sunburn in those 2, I still have yet to hear Stockholm or New Born So: 1. Stockholm 2. New Born 3. Futurism 4. Fury 5. Take a Bow Honorable Mention: Muscle Museum
  10. In the slimmest of chances they ever used it, i hope it would be sparingly either as an intro or outro riff ala the Micro Cuts outro riff. Regarding Psycho, I'm not upset they used the 030503 riff in a song, but they didn't do anything besides repeat it for 5 minutes which got really boring. Not sure how to embed videos, so here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZRjj-TmRFs As you'll see, it was from the early 2000's, but they brought it back as an outro to Hysteria during the Drones tour.
  11. Awesome set Jobby! In the vein of "mega-set:" (What’s He Building?) >> New Born + Microphone Fiend + Headup + Minimum + Ashamed >> Agitated >> Yes Please + Execution Commentary >> Interlude >> Hysteria + Back in Black + Vuilstamen Map of the Problematique + Maggie’s Farm + Who Knows Who Piano Interlude >> Sunburn Apocalypse Please Butterflies and Hurricanes Ruled by Secrecy >> Bliss [Album Synth Intro] Plug in Baby Etudes Simples No. 6 >> Unintended Hoodoo [Guitar] Darkshines Muscle Museum (We Are the Universe) >> The Handler + School >> Reapers >> Blackout Fury Futurism Drum Intro >> Showbiz + Drum Album Outro >> Citizen Erased >> Glastonbury Outro >> Take a Bow ---------------------------------- (Isolated System) >> Exogenesis: Overture >> Exogenesis: Cross Pollination >> Exogenesis: Redemption >> Megalomania ---------------------------------- (Drones) >> Micro Cuts >> Dead Star + Micro Cuts Outro >> Stockholm Syndrome + Township Rebellion + Psycho + Negative Creep + Endless Nameless ---------------------------------- (Dance of the Knights) >> Knights of Cydonia + Space Dementia Outro
  12. I've always liked SP, but I think it really suffers from it's placement on the album after MotP. I'm guessing they wanted to juxtapose the lighter acoustic song next to the heavy drop C electronic MotM, but it just didn't work. - it was too jarring and too much of a letdown. If SP had followed or led into Hoodoo I think it would have been better received. Anyways, to the point of the thread, my guess is when Matt said "acoustic" he meant "lighter" by stripping away the heaviness of Drones and the electronics of T2L / Resistance. If so, I would love an "acoustic" album in they style of their lighter / more idiosyncratic songs like Recess, Screenager, Hoodoo, etc.
  13. I never cared for MM until I heard this version. The song hadn't been played in 8 years at that point and from Chris' first note the crowd knew what was going on. And then when the chorus kicked, hearing every single person sing that song word for word gave me chills. I love the song and would love for this version to get released at some point.
  14. I'd love for it to be included, but I left it off because we already have the great Mayan version of it from that tour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNWTiMeVM8g So I'd rather get professionally mixed versions of songs like MM, Uno and Groove we don't already have.
  15. I know it would never happen, but a dream come true would be an EP from the Psycho tour that includes: 1. Muscle Museum 2. Uno 3. Fury 4. Futurism 5. The Groove 6. Hyper Music One can dream.
  16. I really live the Tokyo Zepp version of Fury. That led me to search for the show on youtube and I found individual songs, but is there a video anywhere of the entire performance? Still wish this would get released at some point
