Innit, plus (idk about Showbiz) on Origin they tried out strings on CE (maybe others too).
-
Might be controversial but:
TR: 7/10
T2L: 7.5/10
Drones: 8.5/10

The Handler >>>

I’ve always really enjoyed Dead Star’s music video. Nothing extraordinary but good gritty footage
-
Wait 'til you hear Recess if you haven't already. It's the tits.
The “different take” version was equally as awesome, especially the chorus
-
The ascending “lo—o—o—ove” in Glorious’ chorus gets me every time
-
I mean....what's it better than?
Have just always loved that one
Regarding the question, I love Fury, but we’ve had multiple pro-shots (never mind just audio) of it before, so probs that one for me. Great performance of a great song though
Plus I’m a sucker for anything “ Muse at Earls Court 2004”
-
Let's rank, fuck it:
Glorious + Showbiz @ Shepherd's Bush Empire (2017)
Futurism @ Zepp (2014)
Megalomania @ Royal Albert Hall (2011)
Dead Star @ V Festival + Fury @ Royal Albert Hall (2008)
City Of Delusion @ Birmingham NEC (2006)
Supremacy + Falling Down @ Unipol Arena (2012)
Fury @ Sydney Entertainment Centre (2007)
Agitated @ Barrowland Ballroom (2015)
Uprising + Citizen Erased @ Wembley Stadium (2010)
MK Ultra @ Palasport Olimpico (2009)
Fury @ Montreux Jazz Festival (2016)
Hysteria @ Earls Court (2005)
Hysteria @ Eden Project (2013)
Hysteria at Earls Court that low?
-
Best xmas present yet? Maybe aside from Futurism @ Zepp.
I remember the moment that 2014 email came through, but the feeling yesterday was as good if not better. Obviously the link hidden in the full stop make everything 100 times better
-
The crowd singing along during chorus
-
Omg the falsetto doesn’t cut off
Must have used the vocal track alone rather than the stream, as the mic cut out on the falsetto at the actual gig.
What an awesome gift, any sign of Easily on the email?
-
Great little present
-
Why would they release Stuff from old concerts? Did they do this before? But then, it's
Oh, the memories of the 2013 Christmas present — Hysteria live at Eden Project 2006 (Of which we already had a pro-shot iirc?)
-
Obvs we got Showbiz at Reading but the Leeds one would be worth it for the falsetto alone. Also could be Showbiz from that Japanese show or perhaps Assassin from Belfast?
I personally reckon it’ll be either one or a couple of songs (audio recordings) from SBE — Showbiz, MM, Easily or Glorious would be my bets
-
Audio of the full SBE gig would be awesome. Highly highly unlikely though
-
Does that make NSC a single as well?
IYW is a single
MK Ultra is a single
NSC is a single

I do like studio Exo-Politics, but it’s just the fact that it could have been so much better with better production.
I guess if we had never heard the 2005 live version then maybe we’d all view the studio version in a better light, just that we know how it could have been that makes it come under criticism

I... actually love that...
To be honest, I think it would be brilliant if they could find a way to place these kind of sounds into new songs.
Sorry for the double post guys
On that topic, the tone would well work well in places on other songs no doubt, but with the ending of SS, for me, you can't beat a big beefy wall of distortion
-
Yeah, no question. Just that if Chris was doing it I think it'd be more likely to be album-like
Might be the wrong thread, but Rock Am Ring 2004 is becoming one of my favourite SS endings (dat scream). Somewhat ashamed that I'd never heard that performance until recently!
-
also I still subscribe to #giveIWishICouldtoChris
+1 to that. Obvs would be the A4s like the album rather than the 2004-esque screams, but It'd sound great
Also, please Matt, change your guitar tone in the outro. Sounds way to "glitch-y "to me (for want of a better word)

The Handler, genuine 10/10 song and imo the best song since BH&R
Also TOADA, which is one I'll always defend
-
On Aftermath, I do tend to skip it if it comes up, but I don't think it's bad. Pretty cheesy of course, but alright imo
-
Whilst we're at it, Aftermath isn't bad
