What level of difficulty we thinking it’s gonna be? Never yet gone for stadium tickets myself

I would actually say the chorus is the only thing that works in this song. It's just resting on nothing and the song is really tonally weird.
Ngl I don’t mind this song at all, I LOVE the pre-choruses, choruses themselves are pretty decent and the verses are alright (2nd verse is better imo due to that melody on the “only you can” etc part).
Also, has anyone mentioned the ascending piano at the very end of the quiet piano section? Can’t get enough of those signature Matt arpeggios

Really, weak choruses is an unfortunate theme of the album in general I think, but never is the chasm wider than here.
You reckon? Algorithm, TDS, Pressure, Propaganda, BITM, Blockades And The Void all have really high standard choruses imo

Yep, just listened to the super deluxe exclusive tracks now for the first time, and The Void is absolutely stunning. Too early to say whether I’d rate it higher than the album version but god it must be a close call

Now is the time for some intelligent fucking thought, and to reign it all in.
Half of the album sounds like Midge Ure's last solo album (which is a fucking masterpiece and doesn't deserve such horrible, blatant butchery).
Some of it sounds like 2015 Acrtic Monkeys if they'd stopped given a fuck, which they incidentally did this/last year.
Some of it sounds like Muse trying to do sexy.
I fucking hate it all.
I give it a year, unitl this album is collectively Muse's most hated.

I suppose Assassin’s ending is rather abrupt, but weren’t we talking about Blockades?
Yeah I was comparing it to Assassin, saying that that style of ending doesn’t detract from the quality of the song for me

I don’t think the abrupt-type ending does Assassin any harm, obviously it wouldn’t work on every track but I don’t have a problem with it on this one

100%. Experimentation done in all the right ways on this album, a great LP from the opening bass drum of Algorithm to the final wub of The Void. Cracking stuff.

Don’t know about it being better than RBS, but it’s certainly a fantastic song and closer, 3rd best closer imo behind Megalomania and RBS (those two are interchangeable as no. 1 & 2 on my list)

Makes that line sound even more OTT motivational with the operatic delivery and Queen vocals. Gives me a shit-eating grin like no other.

That, and the “aah-aah-aah”s are such great little details. Also the descending backing vocals in the final chorus (eg. at 2:18 and 2:33)

Yep, for example in Bliss and Screenager the direct switch from minor to major works really well, but for this song (especially only for one line in the chorus) it sounds a bit out of place imo

The only frustration I have with this song is in the chorus, on the repeat each time he sings a major third on “best”, rather than a minor, though I’m sure with repeated listens I’ll grow to appreciate the variety
