I've had a number of opportunities to meet him as well. Still gutted about last time - he was (literally) right around the corner signing stuff at one point, but I was busy taking pictures of the rainforest things
And yeah. It actually wasn't that difficult, but this was in 2013, and they STILL aren't that well known over here. I think I was 10th in line, and I got there mid afternoon.
How big is this venue? I recall the one I went to was around 550 people, but even then, the queue didn't really start growing until around 7pm or so
Oh shit.
Ah, this venue's 2200 capacity, which is still small for their gigs here, but will probably be impossible to see them if I hang about outside after the show.

We're going to start calling these people something.
And that something is.... nerds. Get it?
I don't think any of us would be brave enough to try to film Josh's peddle board when Josh is actually there, even if he is a bit less secretive at this point.
Plus I'd be too busy trying to get him to acknowledge my existence... you know, like that guy from years ago who was rehearsing what he was going to say to MB if he ever met him.
Which he did, and then he forgot everything.
I like it
Nah we definitely wouldn't be
Also, did you meet biffy one time outside a small venue? Hoping I will next month but seriously doubt it'll happen.

Manjon guitar works...
Manson MBK-1, MBK-2 or MBK-3 Bridge PickupAmazing that they've just copied it straight off Mansons site

Recording Josh's pedalboard for half the video. kit and tab nerd herd level achieved.
It takes a special kind of loser cool person to pay that much attention to the gear at a gig

Does anyone know the right size of pot to get for the MBC1? My googlefu is weak and unkempt
Can’t remeber the exact size but they’re small ones. I had to make the hole bigger for the shaft of CTS pots to fit.
-
Fixed my crappy old Les Paul jr and now it plays brilliantly. Needs new intonation screws though
-
Did you?
90 mansons.
Yeah, was sure I saw you playing no. 90 a while ago.
-
just realized I have your number @nerd_herd
I thought you had 90...

Anyone seen Radiohead on their current tour? Managed to see them last week and the show was fantastic. Thom's voice sounded fairly on point too compared to some audio I'd heard from shows within the last year or two. The only complaint I had was the middle of the setlist was a bit of a drag.
I saw them last July and it was one of the best gigs I’ve been to. Set list was brilliant too. Plus I spotted the EOB Strat on stage before I knew Fender had made the signature model

I've only really used it on the fretboards, but I've HEARD it's ok to use on finishes as well.
If you use it on your fretboard, it'll dry it out within seconds, so have some oil ready.
I'll probably use that then, my les paul jr is covered in grime mojo even though it hasn't been played in 6+ years.
Nice.

Has anyone here used lighter fluid to get years of grime off a guitar? I’ve heard it can be good for really bad dirt but not sure it it’s a good idea to use or not.
-
Are you stalking people other than Mike Vennart?
saw that earlier and thought it was yours. That finish is really cool.
Re Bs' whammy - could the problem be from moisture getting into the pedal if it's humid? I've had a few problems with the DT (mainly the input jack repeatedly coming loose) but nothing as strange as that.
-
Let's not forget that brexit caused Bs to request that last custom... do we need another event like that for him to buy another guitar?
Sounds like you have some kind of inside information. And that seems like a fairly long build time for a pedal.
I fucking hope not!
No inside information, just a bit of a twitter stalker . I think it’s so long cause that’s when the physical copies of the new album are to be released, and the pedals are just being shipped at the same time.

While we can't possibly know yet, I'm wary of what Matt claims, too, this time. It could be literally anything.
Return of the dubstep.
-
My knowledge of this stuff is crap, but I thought he was doing something with a kaoss pad or a kaossilator.
-
Going from the 3 videos we’ve seen so far, I wouldn’t be surprised if the box set of this album came with a VHS.
-
Let's not make this about me
neu infatchyouateor four nrd herrd?
(where are the additional ones? I've been checking that website almost as often as I check the shop and works website!)
I would’ve suggested new guitar for Bs, but K&T couldn’t handle that level of excitement so soon.
Neu pedlol in October. I’m surprised the other batch hasn’t been put on sale yet. I’ll let you know as soon as/if I find out any more deets about them though.

I think the video symbolises that Matt is just too far gone so Dom and especially Chris are trying to end it all
I quite like the song after one listen. It’s pretty catchy.

nu gitar for jaems nineti?

Found it quite amusing they included the ridiculous guitar stand for the DI solo
The sound in the cinema I went to was good most of the time, but there were a few bits where it hurt with the crowd noise being so high, it even drowned out the band sometimes.
-
Yeah. After the credits faded to black, there was a brief pause before the band came back to introduce a sneak peak at Something Human, confirming its release as July 19th.
Ah, the lights came on and the usual cinema music started playing and we waited a minute but saw nothing, so it seems like where I went didn't show the clip.
-
There was a clip of a new song at the end of the credits?
-
Film it in 4K, then put some filter on to make it look like a VHS
The sound is pretty good though.

let the pedal speculation begin!
Won't be able to get there early so might just leave very slowly.
