Well those notes are within the solfège scale that you use for practicing singing so it's just as likely that they both was playing something along those lines and just did a bend. -
If I'm not mistaken he did it in falsetto during the soundcheck video (on the Drones Deluxe edition).

I think the sliding power-chord guitar-riffs in Defector sounds a lot like Biffy Clyro! But on the other hand, I do like Biffy so it's not a problem for me!

Muse is one of my favorite bands so I thought I should post my band's EP for you to critique on I am the singer and guitar player and my main influences are Muse, Biffy Clyro, Dream theater, Rush, Queens of the stone age etc. We recorded it in a professional studio over one week.
