  1. Anyone think the new song / songs might have anything to do with this? https://www.instagram.com/p/BOEa_z5g84R/?taken-by=mattbellamy&hl=en Seeing as though the lyrics have probably been the weaker aspect of the past few albums, maybe this could be a good thing.
  2. 100% agree with this, ten times better than the 360 gig I saw at the O2. Band were really up for it and sounded massive, (I've watched the stream and it didn't really come across on there) especially Map, Hysteria, Stockholm and The Handler. I expected The Globablist to bomb, but a casual fan next to me said the song was his highlight. Like the arena tour the gig suffered from filler like Isolated System, but the stage set was probably as good as RnL 2011.
  3. No thats only the first set of acts, the majority of the big acts will already be on there. Doesn't really matter though to be honest, theres plenty (if not too much) to do at Glastonbury anyway. But you can compare the first poster from 2015 and the 2nd one with hundreds of names, if you want to see the size of acts that will be missing. I wouldn't expect Kendrick anymore after today, quite a few people hoping he'd be there, but he's exclusive to British Summer Time apparently.
  4. Sorry not sure how to make the image smaller, but heres the first poster
  5. Yea that poster is fake, although a lot of bands from that will be true I imagine. Anyone else already got a ticket? P.S the thread tile has 'Piltron', the location is actually 'Pilton' I think Muse spelt it wrong on the homepage as well
  6. Yea there is the chance she could've meant acts rather than bands, but Emily usually chooses her words wisely due to people scrutinising them (like us here) haha. Yea seeing my two favourite bands at my favourite place is bound to be special, plus Coldplay are one of the best acts I've seen live so I might end up seeing them. I already have a ticket so im quite lucky, It a real pain in the arse trying to get them. Not sure if you know how glastonbury ticketing works, but you need to register with a photo ID. The tickets have already sold out in October, but because its a deposit scheme the tickets of those who don't pay go back into a resale in April. Registration is open now on the Glastonbury website for anyone interested, and good luck to those who try
  7. Emily Eavis (Glastonbury organiser for those who don't know) told an interviewer tonight at the NME awards that "three great British bands will be headlining this year". Makes those Muse, Radiohead and Coldplay rumours look even more likely
  8. Pinkpop and Rock Werchter organisers have said that Foo Fighters won't be coming back to do the festivals they had to cancel this summer. It could be that they do Glastonbury as a one off, however John Giddings (isle of wight organiser) and Andy Copping (download) have both said on twitter that Foos wont be touring this year.
  9. The 3 headliners that Glastonbury have apparently been after for a while are Muse, Adele and Coldplay. Radiohead have just started to announce their own gigs, which are all festivals and some are around Glastonbury. If Glastonbury had managed to secure all three headliners they wanted and Radiohead approached them asking to play I doubt they would turn them down. This could obviously turn out to be a load of rubbish but I'm just repeating what Ive read over on efestivals, they tend to get quite a lot of good information on this kind of stuff.
  10. The rumours going round on efestivals suggest Muse will be playing Glastonbury and not at Reading and Leeds. However the most interesting rumour is that they could be playing before Coldplay as a '4th headliner' (other 2 headliners a rumoured to be Adele and Radiohead).
  11. It will have been because Download had Muse booked as a 'UK exclusive'. They were billed on the Bestival lineup as special guests, so they would have been able to play because they weren't advertised. However as soon as Matt revealed they'd be playing, Download presumably didn't want them there as it could have harmed their sales. Lots of the major UK festivals try to get acts on exclusive deals, I think the only one that doesn't it Glastonbury.
