  1. Reapers works so much better as an opener than closer. Felt like I was the only one who didn't fancy it as a closer. Might change as I become more familiar with it though.
  2. I still think they should of put Futurism on OoS in Feeling Good's place and on the Dead Star EP replace Futurism with Feeling Good. They could of still released it as a single if they did that.
  3. Nice to see a fellow drummer like myself. Totally agreed with Maps and Invincible but the production of the album annoys me as the drums do not come out as clearly as they should. The drumming in Starlight is another Dom highlight. While it is incredibly simple and easy to play it completely carries the song and always gets the crowd involved live.
  4. I think Dom's drumming is fantastic in Reapers. Tight in the verses and provides a lovely groove in the chrouses. And he does some great cymbal variation in the outro which is something that doesn't come up much in Muse to the extent it is used here. (although that's hope the outro is actually on the album) On to the subject of Dom's past drumming I think his drumming was great on OoS. What he did on Citizen Erased and Space Dementia is very good and far from just "thumping". If you look at live performances of these tracks you can properly see how good Dom is as he adds a lot of dynamics and ghost notes. Although IMO Dom's best drumming performance for me will always be Ruled By Secrecy:D.
  5. 1. Map Of The Problematique 2. Take A Bow 3. Knights Of Cydonia 4. Assassin 5. Invincible 6. Supermassive Black Hole 7. Starlight 8. City Of Delusion 9. Exo-Politics 10. Hoodoo 11. Soldiers Poem
  6. Voted for Stockholm Syndrome but Ruled By Secrecy follows very closely. No votes for Apocalypse Please is very surprising
  7. I think they only slagged off Feeling Good not the band as a whole. They would fit in well in this board
  8. All this talk about boring tracks and Save Me hasn't been mentioned once.
  9. I get the feeling that some people seem to think that heavy=good. I'm personally not that disappointed about what I've heard about this song but I do believe it has the potential to be spectacularly awful or brilliant, kind of hit or miss.
  10. 1. Take A Bow 2. Plug In Baby 3. Uno 4. The Groove 5. Map Of The Problematique 6. Sing For Absolution 7. Animals 8. Citizen Erased 9. Invincible 10. Mercy 11. Butterflies & Hurricanes 12. Bliss 13. Micro Cuts 14. Stockholm Syndrome
  11. I think that the Starlight comparisons are a bit lazy tbh. While the piano does sound similar nothing else in the song does. There are hints of Stockholm Syndrome in the chorus but no one is comparing the song to that. I just think that the Starlight influence is minimal in this song.
  12. I'm not 100% on this being the final mastered version, I think compression might have something to do with the issues. Didn't In Rainbows sound a lot worse in its downloaded pay what you want form compared to the physical release? I'm no expert though so I could and probably am very wrong.
  13. Undisclosed Desires is a great song. Madness is a bit meh though
  14. Dead Inside is what would happen if Madness and Undisclosed Desires had a child
  15. If Psycho was another song it would have to be Uprising
