  1. Like I said it just grates on me a bit, it's like Matt was trying to come across as more of a pop star and not the front man of a rock band. Plus the quality of music dipped during the time he started doing it so maybe I have a few negative associations with that album.
  2. Oh god I hope he still isn't doing that guitar behind his back thing he was doing all of T2L tour for the intro to Mercy. I've seen one video of him doing it for Dead Inside and it really bugs me for some reason.
  3. A few people have said it sounded much heavier live than the bootleg floating around online. Perhaps the main piano is coming through the rest of the sound and it will be a much more minimal element on the actual recording. I love the subtle synth btw
  4. True but I'd like to think if something like Madness had been debuted tonight there would at least be slightly polarized reaction, at least Mercy sounds like something of a crowd pleaser.
  5. Looks like it's started as a live performance anyway, quashing those rumours about the new album being played in full beforehand. No new material as of yet according to the reddit live feed.
  6. Sooo, I guess we'll have to wait until after 9 (2am here in the uk) until we get any sort of reaction. Can't see anyone daring to use their phone whilst in the venue if new material is getting played, unless it's just not being regulated.
  7. We can talk about how overreactive Muse fans can be forever, the fact remains if the new album is good, it will get early hype and long term praise, simple. I predict it will, by the way
  8. Probably their most Radiohead-ish song because of the time signature, but i've never found the comparisons accurate anyway. Plus, what's all this fanfare about fans listening to the album a month early somewhere? EDIT: Just realised it's that first listen party isn't it. Should be interesting but im with others when they say Muse fans have a tendency to overreact after initial listens, either one way or the other. "Madness sounds like Bliss" springs to mind.
