I've found myself listening to this song on it's own for the first time today. For some reason parts of it get stuck in my head.

It's growing on me a hell of a lot more to the point where I can consider it a masterpiece. It's the main song I listen to at the moment.

Showbiz Drones = BHAR Absolution OOS The Resistance 2nd Law To be fair I'm counting b-sides in my head a little, which is part of the reason I'm such a Showbiz fanboy. The gap between Absolution and BHAR is really small though.

I personally imagine the tremolo being global nuclear war and the first bomb was when it got louder. I'm assuming global nuclear war with nukes going off all over the place doesn't really last long, which is why that section would be short. Then of course it would cut to post-apocalypse with the whole piano thing. I really hope there's some good imagery if they do a lyric video of it, I was kind of disappointed by The Handlers lack of imagery during the solo which it really needed. Then again it is just a lyric video.

Anyone else reminded of the This is War by 30 Seconds to Mars during the prechorus? It's a lot less heavy and a lot more happy sounding, but for some reason I can't help but think of that. Maybe it's the phrasing of the lyrics.

Seems like this might end up like Hoodoo. People start off disliking it, but it slowly starts becoming a cult classic among the more well versed Muse fans.

Does anyone know the lyrics? I'd probably enjoy it more if I could actually make out what Matt was saying half the time. All I hear is "Killed by drones" "Mother" "Father" "Brother" "Are you Dead Inside?" "Amen"

Better than OOS for me. Though I'm not an OOS fanboy. The only thing the album doesn't have on previous albums is nostalgia.

I can see it working really well live though. Lots of flashing lights and some video/acting thing where the person finally starts to stand up against their handler.

So I just listened to it it after listening to all the others in order. This time with headphones. Actually heard the "follow the yellow brick road" thing in Reapers this time and it actually fits in really well considering the whole alice in wonderland thing is often considered something to do with the illuminati/mind control funnily enough. But holy shit yes that bit just before they go back into the riff at the end of The Handler. It is literal sex. It is the chorus of Fury level of sex. This song might shoot up the ranks to join my top 10 Muse songs.

I have mixed feelings. I think it needs to grow on me a little. Currently it makes 2nd place though despite all of that.

It's some of the American English that's leaked into the use of actual English here. I don't see people spell it as arse very much anymore.

Hard to say but I'll give it a shot for what my list is at this moment in time Guiding Light You Fucking Mother Fucker Execution Commentary... Ok ok I'm obviously joking. (Though I still like Guiding Light. I just know that I'm the only Muse fan that does). Now the real list which was really hard because I had to remove some really good songs from it that don't quite make the top 10. Plus it's only in rough order. My neck still hurts from headbanging too hard. Seriously how could you not headbang until your head feels like it's going to come off during agitated and futurism? But it was easily my second favorite gig. Would have been my favorite if I were in the standing bit considering I could have easily been at the front from where I was and I'm someone who likes to move a lot during a gig. What was it that matt saw in the crowd though? I didn't see because I'm pretty sure whatever it was, it was literally right below my balcony.

Probably around 5pm. I just found out the balcony is unreserved.. I think. I now feel like I'm going to get there too late. I'm going to be so tired from not enough sleep because my mind is so active. This is the furthest I've been from home on my own too. Other side of the country. Bah. ._.
