  1. I would've loved to have seen 2012 Matt do some of those big songs. CoD, Showbiz, RBS, SFA spring to mind. Out of interest does someone with sufficient musical knowledge reckon 2012 Matt could've hit the Hyper Music choruses?
  2. Have the band actually acknowledged the Showbiz recommendations anywhere? I seem to remember at one of the Psycho gigs (Manchester?) The crowd were chanting Showbiz but Matt laughed it off by saying "got the wrong memo on that one."
  3. I don't think not having an acoustic-electric guitar would really stop them from playing CoD if they really wanted to, given how Matt's been treating his guitar parts over the years.
  4. But agree with all the Map love. Bringing it back as a staple (so far) has definitely been the strongest thing they've done this tour. Even a Madness/UD/Resistance rotation sounds good. Just something so we don't have to sit through the god awful version of Madness they're pumping out every night. Then stick JFK + Defector after it to avoid cheese.
  5. Ideal set for Australia (Hurry up and announce dates Muse ) 1. Drill Sergeant + Psycho 2. Reapers 3. Dead Inside 4. Assassin 5. Interlude + Hysteia 6. IS + The Handler 7. Map/Bliss 8. Supermassive Black Hole 9. Citizen Erased/Butterflies 10. Apocalypse Please/Sunburn 11. Munich Jam + Madness 12. Undisclosed Desires 13. JFK + Defector 14. Revolt 15. Time is Running Out 16. Stockholm Syndrome/ New Born 17. Uprising 18. The Globalist 19. Mercy 20. Knights
  6. Tbh I've said this before but if they continued New Born the way it was played last year (Speed, matt playing the intro, etc) I'd take it over today's Stockholm. Granted, Stockholm is still killer live but it's definitely lost it's oomph over the years. I'd still take it over a lot of the alternatives though. But Stockholm + Agitated should ALWAYS be a thing. Absolutely lethal combination live.
  7. Kinda weird that out of that "unrealistic" set, these are the only songs that they haven't played yet this tour (psycho/festivals/drones). And B&H was played a lot on the T2L tour too. RBS even showed up once. Has kinda shown how many songs they've brought back from the dead over T2L/Psycho tour.
  8. Jumping on the Easily discussion, gave it a proper listen for the first time in ages and it's amazing. That bassline is deadly. If Glorious and Easily were on BH&R instead of Soldier's Poem/Starlight Black Holes would have been Muse's best album imo.
  9. 1. Psycho 2. Dead Inside 3. Hysteria 4. CE 5. IS + Handler 6. Map 7. SMBH 8. Prelude + Starlight 9. UsoE 10. Munich Jam + Madness 11. Resistance 12. JFK + Revolt 13. TIRO 14. Uprising 15. The Globalist 16. Mercy 17. Knights

  11. :yesey: It's just like a highly improved Madness. That last chorus when the guitar kicks in is one of my favourite Drones moments. Just wish Matt could hit that "don't leave me out in the cold" the way he does on the record. Map. Really is the song I love to bits and makes any set 5 percent better. One of their best electronic rock tracks done right.
  12. Yeah that's pretty much how Muse make their time quota. Jams, riffs and taking like two minutes between every song/fiddling around before the song. Seriously, there's like a two minute gap between the end of Starlight and the piano section. It's ridiculous.
  13. 1. Psycho 2. Dead Inside 3. Interlude + Hysteria 4. IS + The Handler 5. Map of the Problematique 6. Supermassive Black Hole 7. Prelude + Starlight 8. Apocalypse Please 9. Munich Jam+ Madness 10. Undisclosed Desires 11. JFK + Reapers 12. Time is Running Out 13. Uprising 14. The Globalist 15. Mercy 16. Knights Edit: 16 songs is actually sad, take this set vs the small venue Manchester academy: 1. Psycho 2. The Groove 3. Bliss 4. Dead Star 5. Time is Running Out 6. Hysteria 7. Stockholm Syndrome 8. Hyper Music 9. Starlight 10. SMBH 11. Uprising 12. Reapers 13. Fury 14. Plug in Baby 15. Knights pretty sad really.
  14. Map of the Problematique Bliss Sunburn Hoodoo Space Dementia Ruled By Secrecy Showbiz Fury Take A Bow City of Delusion Honourable mentions: - Muscle Museum - Stockholm Syndrome - Glorious - Album UD - Reapers - New Born
  15. I don't think they'll follow through with that, not when they're pretty much obliged to play songs that don't really fit with the theme of Drones. Madness Knights Starlight KoC Undisclosed Desires SMBH TIRO Uprising Resistance Hysteria That's already 10 out of a maximum 20 songs, and a lot of them don't fit with the theme of drones.
