  1. This was my 7th Muse gig and it was my 2nd favourite - the Download Festival in the UK ranks as my best. I think the two hour length and the metal medley adds a lot to this tour.

It was noticeable that the standing crowd don't mosh for Muse as UK standing crowds do, however, the audience did seem to be really into it. I am not sure that the audience knew the ST album tracks, however, the well known songs were greeted very favourably.

    Hi,

I will be attending the show from the US. I keep reading about transportation issues back to London after the show. Can someone please explain why it is so difficult? Also, what is the best way to get back? We will most likely be staying in Covent Garden.

    Thanks!!

There will be no issues with the tube or trains. Take the central line from Stratford to Holborn and then the piccadilly line from Holborn to Covent Garden. The transport issues may be in reference to closing roads around the Stadium for cars etc,  to safely disperse people from the venue into the train station.

    Algorithm alternate version? 🙏🏻

Interesting. That is the gig I am going to on my holiday. I am an Englishman visiting that part of the world for the first time. Could not get standing, so I am seated in the lower level.

  4. Even in the UK, the shows are not selling as well as in the past. It has previously been standard that they announce a second stadium show for London - it looks as though that is not going to happen this time.

Although ST went to number one in the UK, it sold considerably less on debut and in the following weeks compared to Drones.

  5. Tickets shouldn't be sold out, it's possible it's just down for maintenance since it's currently the middle of the night there?

Thanks. I think you were right about it being down for maintenance. Had further problems with ticketmaster after that, where they were not authorising me access. However, finally, I have a lower level ticket. Would have preferred GA, but these seemed to have gone.

Looking forward to my first American Muse experience,. Seen them 6 times in London and once at the Download Festival in the English countryside.

  6. I live in England and have seen Muse 7 times in the UK. I am on holiday in Oakland/San Francisco in March and have been trying to book tickets for this.

Ticketmaster seems to suggest that tickets are no longer available. Is this genuinely the case? If the worst comes to the worst and I cannot buy in advance, does this venue have a box office to sell unsold tickets to those who turn up on the day?

  7. I do wonder whether the negativity towards this stadium with regards to how far away you are from the action when watching West Ham play football, has had an impact. It was built for athletics, so it is not the usual stadium shape. The seating capacity for football is 57k, but rises to 80k for gigs when pitch standing comes in to play - considering you also lose the seats at one end for the gigs, this increase in capacity for the gigs, shows how far back the seats are.

Although Muse are still popular in the UK, I also wonder whether they are as popular as they were when they played stadiums in London over two days in 2007, 2010 and 2013.

Although they still have a hardcore following in the UK, I feel that those with a casual interest in seeing their gigs or buying their albums has dwindled. I know people who have been to one of their stadium gigs in London or have a bought a Muse album in the past, who still like them, but would no longer think about going to see them or buy their latest album. At the same time, I am not sure that Muse are picking up enough new young fans to replace those people who no longer go to Muse gigs or buy their albums.

  8. For me personally the Stadium of Light would be fantastic. Possibly one in Scotland such as Hampden or Murrayfield are options

For me, Southampton's football stadium would be the best. It has recently become very popular with major artists - The Rolling Stones and Robbie Williams have played there in the last 18 months. For 2019, Take That are booked for Saturday, 25 May and Rod Stewart is confirmed for Friday, 31 May.

Will Muse be there between the 25 and 31 May? The football club start laying the grass for the new season in early June, so I think it would have to be in this late May slot.
