They should do a whole tour without Matt and just let fans sing every song karaoke style.
-
Wait what?! When did this happen? Completely missed it.
They played an intimate gig in June I think at the Gloria theatre. Think you had to win tickets to go or something. This was the setlist: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/muse/2015/gloria-theater-cologne-germany-bc94586.html

Haven't seen Muse a huge number of times so this shouldn't be too hard.
1. Manchester Academy (22/3/15) - Epic setlist, intimate venue, awesome crowd, top notch performance. What more can I say? Oh yeah, Fury in the encore
2. Download (12/6/15) - Again, an epic setlist (although it became a bit stale towards the end) and the band were on top form. I was fairly far back which sadly meant the crowd was a bit dead where I was but still a great performance to watch.
3. Manchester Etihad (1/6/13) - My first Muse gig, so very important to me. Seeing Dead Star and Bliss at my first gig was awesome, and the stage setup/pyro was very impressive. Cringey actors and b-stage songs though. I also caught a water bottle which Chris threw into the crowd which was pretty epic
4. Brighton Dome (23/3/15) - Slightly worse setlist than Manchester (mainly due to them debuting Dead Inside which nobody knew at the time) but it was still great to see them in a small-ish venue, and I was very happy to hear Map and Uno. I was seated for this one so I got to see all the Hullabaloons bouncing around under that domed ceiling which was quite a beautiful sight.
5. London O2 (3/4/16) - The visuals and lighting were very cool, but setlist was slightly lacklustre (Map and Bliss were the highlights, with The Globalist being the only proper song I hadn't seen before) and the crowd were a bit dead thanks to the 360 stage. Also I will eternally be bitter about them soundchecking FG and Sunburn and playing the former
-
This setlist isn't bad tbh. Map, Stockholm and TAB... the only bummer is Feeling Good really. It's obviously not on par with last night but it's far from the worst set they've played this tour...
-
Glen said definitely no Black Holes anniversary at Glasto btw
Wasn't expecting it at all really. I had a feeling if it was gonna happen Matt would have mentioned it in that interview the other day where he talked about Glasto.
-
Chris has a new bass for tonight (4 string so he's not using it for Assassin). Maybe he'll use it for something new.
Is it definitely Chris's? Maybe Morgan will use it for Guiding Light!
-
They will probably just think "its that bloody message board again!"
"That bloody message board, expecting us to play songs we said we'd play. What are they like "
-
Can't quite read the set but looks like 3 songs in the encore so that must mean TAB.
Unless they've moved UD to the first song of the encore

I couldn't see a thread for this gig so here we go.
Bought myself and my girlfriend tickets for this as it's on my birthday and I'd love to go back and see more of Riga (flew there a couple of years ago to see Biffy Clyro but hardly saw any of the city). Standing tickets are also about half the price of the UK ones
-
Setlist.fm says New Born now, is that correct?
If you're using setlist fm to find out the setlist of a gig while it's happening you're doing it wrong.
-
Wait, someone said Drones was their favourite song from Drones? Reaaaaally?
-
I think there's another 2004.
Pinkpop I believe.
-
I have 2 standing tickets for this gig that I'm pretty desperate to sell at this point. Anyone know anyone who might want them? I'm willing to negotiate for the price.

Host (full) / Eternally Missed / Easily / Can't Take My Eyes Off You / Sing For Absolution (-1)
These are all good songs but I can't help but feel SFA doesn't really belong in this rotation... I love it but if I got that instead of Eternally Missed I'd probably cry.
Showbiz (-1) / Glorious / Hyper Chondriac Music / Recess / Hate This And I'll Love YouThen again, with these rotations I'd probably cry regardless of which gig I went to Either because I missed out on one of these beauties or because my bank account would be empty...

What I'd like to see at the O2 gig on the 3rd:
- [DS] + Psycho
- Bliss
- Assassin
- Dead Inside
- Isolated System + The Handler
- Butterflies and Hurricanes
- Supermassive Black Hole
- Prelude + Starlight
- Sunburn
- Munich Jam + Madness
- Sing for Absolution
- [JFK] + Defector
- Time Is Running Out
- Uprising
- Mercy
- Stockholm Syndrome
- The Globalist + Drones
--- - Take a Bow
- Reapers
- Knights of Cydonia
This should be a perfectly reasonable set for them to play, but obviously I'm not expecting anything like this.
- [DS] + Psycho

Is anyone selling 2 tickets (standing pitch) for the gig in Birmingham? [if nessesary seats would be okay as well] Please contact me!!
- @mariamused (Twitter, Instagram)
I just sent you a message on Twitter
-
I bet they play it mid set or somewhere stupid. Or they do TAB -> Starlight in the encore
I wasn't that far off now that they've done Take a Bow + Mercy at several shows
My wishlist for the London O2 gig I'm going to would be:
Take a Bow
Sunburn
Butterflies & Hurricanes
Assassin
Sing for Absolution
(only considering songs they've played/soundchecked recently)
-
There was talk about this being the new single and being played in London since, like, October. I'm betting it happens.
Otherwise why release it now?
I have this horrible feeling they'll play this version live, so Matt doesn't have to play guitar on this one, either...
Oh god please no. If they were to play it, it would at least be slightly interesting if it had the album intro. Plus I bet they replace The Handler with it or something equally stupid.
-
Well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad I guess... not that the headliners make the festival of course.
-
Wait...the JFK > TIRO thing was actually legit?
No, unless they deviated from the printed setlist, which has JFK > Interlude > Hysteria. Which is even worse, if anything...
-
I was recently coerced into buying a ticket for this gig. (long story) I don't have high expectations for the setlist but there's no way I could afford to shell out for multiple nights, and this was the only date I could make.
At this point it's probably just going to be The Globalist that I haven't already seen (which says a lot considering I've only seen them 4 times.) As much as I love Reapers I've already seen it 3 times so I wouldn't be too upset about sacrificing it for Revolt, although it's shocking that that's even a possibility. B&H, Take a Bow, AP or Assassin (pls) would all be welcome but who knows.
-
Wasn't the only performance of Defector so far also in Brussels?
-
Both Reapers and Revolt soundechecked according to setlist.fm.
Bet they do neither and do something random after JFK again.
JFK + Guiding Light
-
Honestly, the only thing I'd question coming after JFK at this point would be Defector.
True
Does that mean no Reapers or Revolt tonight though?

There's a pretty good version from one of the 2013 festivals, Austin City Limits I think?
