  1. Unpopular opinion: I still enjoy the harmonica

I do still love it too:D

Am I the only one who loves unsustainable

Well, I do love it, espscially live! I was praying for it to come back the whole Drones era. So happy it did!! And with vocals!

those signs...ugh. I heard people were doing that and while it's a good notion, I just don't think during a gig like this is the place for it.

I felt the same. Sure I don't like the idea of "buying" the first row, but I don't think that would change anytning. First of, they're already on sale. Second, gig (especially this one) seems like a wrong place for sth like that (imo). Third, I still think it was more their management idea than their own.

It's infuriating, but those are the realities we live in... in short, I guess I made my peace with it...

Ah thank fuck then, and to think I said to the person next to me “bet they’ve scrapped something decent” when they put down the new ones

Not correct. Saw the picture - my friends got the setlists - they didnt cut anything out, on the contrary they added Handler which wasnt there before! Hell yeah, soo good to hear it again. Wish it could stay as a whole!!

I enjoyed the show immensely! Best I've been to (since I missed SBE last year). Equal only with the one in Krakow when they played Assassin (first time for me) and Citizen which I dreamt of hearing live for at least 8 years...

Showbiz and Break it to me were my personal highlights, as I haven't heard Showbiz before and BITM is fucking massive live!!

The whole meledy - similar as with VIP tickets. Of course I would prefer they played all those songs (or at lest a few) in full, but we know it will never happen (not during the proper tour anyway) so I'm taking what they're giving. Maybe I would be more disappointed if I haven't heard all those songs in full before (only Micro Cuts are missing).

Since I was rocking to it from the 1st row, I didn't really care if it was coherent or not in terms if transitions. It was so much fun!!

As for the forst row - maybe it depends on your firdt experience but yoi get addicted to it. Or at least I know I am addicted

Alaways have the best experience from the front. I even like to be crushed. Though it happens relatively rarely tbf... maybe because I'm not small and usually go for gigs with my brother who is even taller and no one wants to stand behind us

  2. You're agreeing to two opposing views tho?

Yeah. The beauty of music - you can read it in many ways.

Final solution in TC = apocalypse IMO. Apocalypse is an usual theme of Muse songs...and in TC it could mean a reload after a bad simulation...

    Yup, like that !

  3. I'm gonna be completely honest with you and tell you while I assumed it was possibly something along the lines, I genuinely didn't know that was what he was actually referring too.

If you're actually wondering how come and thinking I'm a complete thicko, living in Australia we don't really focus on history from a European perspective in schools. It's very self-centred.

We learn about WWII and the Nazis yes but it's mostly just focussing on Australian involvement and the political and social climate in Australia at the time. Outside of that, the content is very limited to key dates - such as Normandy - and the things that are general knowledge - such as Auschwitz etc unless you choose to study these units in university (being at a music university, I did not).

We don't learn specifics and whilst we do learn about the extermination of large groups of Jewish people in death camps and the events that led up to it, not once in six years of high school did I hear it referred to as "the final solution."

Sorry if that's ignorant but if you're going to blame anyone, blame the public schooling system of this country.

Nah. You're fine. I personally don't see it as offensive. You could read it like that, but you don't have to. That's common knowledge but it's not as if he sings "lets kill everyone". Unless you read it like that... I don't.

You're all thinking into it too much.

The lyrics make perfect sense without referring to what you're all referring to. I hadn't even thought about it that way. As if that's the only instance that term is used.

    Totally second that.

Considering that the song is about the dangers of falling for a deceptive, charismatic leader and groupthink mentality, the "final solution" line seems to be a direct reference to the common meaning.

That said, I'd be inclined to defend the lyric because the song is a cautionary message to prevent that horror from recurring.

    That true too.

  4. Thanks for your reply, I’ve tried to get ticket master to confirm this but they won’t/ can’t and Etihad Stadium also don’t know. I just can’t risk not getting a seat and still have concerns as viagogo are selling seats in tier one which are meant to be un reserved but nobody can confirm whom these unreserved seats are actually for and how to get access to them. On another note Man City are selling hospitality packaged cheaper than £319 that come with a padded seat so thinking about getting my tickets refunded and getting package through man city direct.

Those tickets are CID responsibility so I would contact them directly. They had a phone number and email address given at the end of their FAQ section, last time I looked at those (before pre-sale). It's their bloody responsibility to provide you with a seat they promised in all the ads for the bundle, so I would go argue with them! ;)

  5. Indeed they were. The T2L tour got quite varied towards the end, especially in comparison with the Resistance tour which was pretty rigid throughout.

I think there are two key things; 1. At a typical Muse show, half the crowd won’t walk out if the band take five minutes out of the hit machine to play Muscle Museum, for instance.

    2. As a fan, you want to turn up at your favourite band’s gig thinking anything is possible and/or anything could happen, hence making room for just one rarity would be enough to sate so many hardcore/dedicated fans, a proportion of whom will undoubtedly make up a decent enough chunk of the crowd (10%, perhaps).

    ^agree to that.

Not expecting them to compose half of the setlist from old songs. But one or two rarities (best a few in rotation, so it's different rarity every night) per gig would be enough to make me unbelievably happy :)

We can probably expect more Showbiz, or at least some classic favourites towards the end of the next tour too of course - hopefully they'll be promoting their origin of muse compilation by then.

    That's what I'm hoping for... :)

  6. I love doing it but it depends what you’re going for. If you just going to experience the general show then you don’t need to go more than once. If you’re going ‘cos you love Muse and most of the songs and don’t mind seeing the same ones, hoping for the odd different one as well, then it’s fun. Just going to different venues and countries adds a lot as well.

Second that. If you're a huge fan and are getting this immense energy out of gigs (no matter what they play) and want to travel a world a bit - by all means go to more than one. I love them so much that even if I went to all of the shows, I probably still won't be bored:LOL: I also thing this is great reason to travel a bit. I'm always picking up gigs in town I've never been before or want to revisit. Last year I went to Paris, Prague and Belfast that way. This year it'll be Manchester, Rome and Madrid ;)

But if you're not a massive fan, I guess seeing them once during the tour should be enough :)

Happy for you, I couldn't get tickets for Madrid since it always has said that standing tickets are sold out in Ticketmaster, was looking for them in StubHub but they are $137 a single ticket, I will still trying!

Thanks. Yeah, had the same problem. But some more appeared on the member's pre-sale - though weirdly enough it wasn't password but my pre-sale code that they asked me to use to buy them... :p

    Good luck!

  7. Also I legit love Get Up and Fight. I see a change on the horizon, reasons to be frightened. Story of my life. Don't hate me. :stunned:

You're not the only one :)

    Blockades>MK Ultra>Exo-Politics>Defector

Song with pretty similar roles on their respective albums imo.

    Second that.

  8. Huh. When I bought tickets for events in Paris and Milan earlier this year, it provided the option to automatically use English. So quite odd the Czechia ticket site didn't provide the option. Also shows what I know as I thought the Prague show was all GA.

Generally ticketmaster do have that option on every site, but it does not always work.

When I tried to get ticket to Rome, English version of their site didn't even show me the option to choose normal tickets (only VIP) - so obviously I failed to do so at album pre-order presale. I had to do it all in Italian second time round :LOL:

  9. Having taken a look at the mixed reviews, I truly think that the majority of them are biased and written with an agenda. It's like they're just looking to find a reason to bash the album, from the tired gripe of the sound being oversized and the band not taking themselves seriously, to some ridiculous things like Matt's voice not being clear on Propaganda and Break It to Me, to the lyrics being confusing and stuff like that. It really irks me that it seems like hating on Muse has become a thing among these critics. And the sarcastic tone of some of these reviews, I mean, the nerve of them. Some of them have even talked about how the album will surely divide the fanbase because of all the electronic elements and so on. Oh, please, we don't need you guys to worry about us. We're fine!

    Hahah, so ture.

Also, they are so repetitive. Every single album they're hating on the same things. I think it's just boring.

I wouldn't put too much value on reviews personally, it's usually a bunch of nitpickers who write them (coming from somebody who reviewed albums).

    My thoughts exactly.

  10. Pre-Sale in Spain:

    Pre-sale time: 10:00 local time

Pre-sale open time: 9:50 local time (seen in Twitter)

Going into the link that Muse sent to me: 9:59 (inmedatly in a virtual queue for about 15 minutes)

Result: pre-sale tickets sold out in the floor and and seats.

Oh yes, been there. Total nightmare.

Was easy enough on the members pre-sale though. However, weirdly SIMULATION password ddn't work for me, I had to use my pre-order code:LOL:

Ok, UK shows (current ones at least) bought. Now considering:

Prague - first show of the tour, would be fun, not sure about travel from the airport to the venue though

Krakow - pretty cheap travel, heard it’s nice, not been before

Paris - too close not to, might be a good set too, maybe wait and see if there’s a night 2 though

Madrid - currently the last show and they tend to end the stadium tours w/ some special stuff...also not been before and nice hot weather :chuckle:

    Hmmm

I guess all 6, plus any 2nd night in London or Bristol, would be a good haul

Kraków is great, I'm from around there, been studying there. Great town, cheap to eat, drink and party. And pretty! Would recommend :D and I can offer some advice if needed :)

I was at the radio x thing where he said this. It's a medley they were thinking of playing, like all the best bits of the heavy songs mashed together for 15 minutes. I think it would be good.

I hope it will. I'm glad they're trying to fit more into the sets.

So, it took me a few attempts to get tickets earlier, but it was still easier than I expected. How was it for everyone else? I imagine something along the lines of...

    "REEEELOOOOOOOAAAAAAD

    CRAAAAAAASSSSSSHHH OOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUT"

    (So sorry, I couldn't resist  )

Yeah! It took me 3,5h of utter rage (I think the whole street must have heard me cursing) and half of my bloody salary, but I got all the tickets I wanted:musesign:

  11. did you get tickets for madrid?

Thank God, I got all I wanted. But it cost me 3,5h hours of utter rage and half of my salary

Though can't complain really. If I was still living in Poland, it would probably take at least two salaries... :p

  12. You have to set the language to Italian, otherwise it doesn't work. But the website is ridiculously slow.

    This is a fu*king joke:mad::mad:

I tired on three different browsers, in bith languages, on two devices. It still won't let me choose seats and pay. This is the worst service I encountered.

  13. Hoping for this one. Also hoping there isn't a golden circle. I think it's disgusting practice that further separates rich and poor. Gigs are expensive enough, if you want to be at the front then get there fucking early like it's always been.... paying your way to the front just stinks. Muse have never done Golden Circle for headline stadiums in the past IIRC, and if they do it now I will be very disappointed in them.

    Second that.

But well, I'm already disappointed with this whole VIP tickets thing though
