Huh, emailed a couple of days ago about getting my seated ticket put back up for resale and just got a reply today saying they can't do that I know some stuff like transfers depend on who you happen to get from customer service in terms of whether they'll do it or not, but I thought cancelling a ticket/putting it back up for resale was pretty normal?
The ticketmaster page appears to have changed so I don't see the part about being able to resell tickets anymore. I'd say call them tbh.

A realistic worst case scenario set I'd be happy with if I wasn't getting my hopes up for 5639564 rarities
- What's He Building In There + Psycho
- Dead Star
- Agitated
- Supermassive Black Hole
- Dead Inside
- Fury
- Citizen Erased
- *Munich Jam* + Assassin
- Time is Running Out
- Futurism
- Mercy
- Uprising
- Micro Cuts
- Stockholm Syndrome
-- - Plug In Baby
- Showbiz
- What's He Building In There + Psycho

Seeing as this band once had an end of main set flow of TiRO>UD>Stockholm/Dead Star>Isolated System>Uprising, I'm used to flow often being a bit of a strange one.
When was this?
Edit: Ah MSG 2013.

You mean Dom? He explains it clearly, his suggestion was backwards chronologically, so the list starts with the latest album and finishes with Showbiz.
Looking at the final list it seems like they just looked at a nearby setlist and wrote down the songs on it followed by whatever they could remember in whatever order
-
My initial reaction was 'how about play it in good flow order'
but this is sounding more and more like the whole set is voooootes
Same
I think Matt's idea of playing them in popularity order is silly tbh. I mean, going by the current votes, I don't really think Invincible or Exo-Politics would be very good closers Though it would mean Showbiz would probably open
Dom's idea of reverse album order isn't great either since it would probably mean Easily or Glorious opening, which aren't great opening material. On the other hand, Showbiz closing.
Edit: Whoops, Tjet confirmed that's not actually what they meant. I was admittedly a little confused when I heard the interview, whether they meant vote order or play order.
-
Dom confirmed Showbiz, Fury and Assassin have been soundchecked at 3:50.

I haven't received anything yet. Isn't the deadline soon?
Wasn't there a Twitter account which was handling any voting queries? If someone could remind me of the name I'll give them a shout regarding yesterday's ticket drop.
The deadline is either this Tuesday I think or next Saturday. Can't remember off the top of my head and can't find where I read that either.
Edit: Correction, Friday the 11th is the final day to submit votes.

Sorry, what I meant to say was:
Wouldn't surprise me if the gig was recorded by Muse anyway, and released in N years, where N is greater than the average human lifespan. -

One hand on the cam, one hand in the air - alternate
If I'm honest though, looking at how low the stage is, I'd feel a bit weird about putting my arm out with the band that close. Also I'm 6'1 and the people behind me usually prefer me to keep my frame as small as possible
As stupid as I'll look, I might legitimately see if I can find a way to strap it to my chest.
Had that problem at one of the gigs last tour. I'm 5'11 and there was a girl of I'd say less that 5' standing right behind me, which was made worse by the fact that I was on the barrier and hence standing on that little elevated step. I felt so bad for jumping, especially during heavy songs where she was being pushed against me.
Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean, I can already imagine you being shoved from behind and the screen getting destroyed from being smashed off the barrier
-
a) I wouldn't be holding it up, I'd most likely just prop it up on the barrier (so chest-level) and hold it steady
But then how do you plan on holding one hand in the air while jumping
Really starting to get excited. Booked my flight last night

Assuming they play the top 17 (number of songs at Montreux) voted songs, based on the current top 17 on one of the fb groups

@Jobby just saw this on the SBE's website FAQs:
Can I bring my camera/iPad/selfie-stick?
Non-professional cameras are fine (no large lenses) but please don’t bring iPads or, god forbid, selfie-sticks because you’ll be asked to leave them in the cloakroom. Besides, it’s much more fun to enjoy the moment and not worry about Instagram bragging rights.
Edit: There's bound to be bag checks too so keeping it in a bag is out of the question...
Afaik bags are not allowed inside the venue.
If I saw someone at a gig trying to film it with an iPad or a selfie stick, I'd go and spend the rest of the gig lolling as hard as I could in their face.Srsly, just watch the fucking gig. Your brain is a much better camera than a camera.
Two things at gigs annoy the fuck out of me. One of them is someone with an ipad held up in front of my face. The other is people wearing backpacks.

That separate email originally arrived 4 days after the general sale though, so if it's left as long this time there might be trouble.
-
Which are missing?
MK Ultra and Fillip from you list, plus a bunch more. Off the top of my head can't really remember many others, but also Hoodoo, I Belong To You, Exogenesis 2 and 3, Sober, Escape, HT&ILY.
-
Same!
I mean, I don't actually care about the vote as I was resigned to not going getting a vote would just be gravy.
Oh god now I've got to compile a top 10... Off the top of my head
Assassin
MK Ultra
Glorious
Fillip
Showbiz
Revolt
Two of those aren't on the list, so back to the drawing board
-
Hopefully there's no delay in getting your codes, isn't the deadline to vote in a few days?

Listened to that interview with Matt and Dom on Radio 2. Regarding SBE:
1 or 2 rarities will make it to R/L.
They discussed the whole by-request thing with Metallica's manager, who said that we'd end up just picking the most popular songs anyway (like what happened with their request tour) but Matt said "you don't know our fans. They'll pick the most obscure tracks possible just to annoy us"
Dom: "we'll probably end up having to play Citizen Erased 20 times..."
They also said the gig will be between 15 and 20 songs, and that we were given the option to vote for 10 songs because they were worried "that's all someone might know" (hopefully Matt was joking here...)
-
According to someone else at the gig, neither Showbiz nor Glorious were soundchecked the other night, just Assassin, Fury, Dead Star.
-
In the event that's real, I can already imagine the shit storm that'll happen when they fuck over America and bring back all the SBE rarities for Australia.
Edit: Literally just got announced

This can't be real, can it? The soundcheck, I mean. Gotta be trolling??
Real. People at the gig claimed those were soundchecked, followed shortly by Muse posting a clip of them playing Fury.

Had a dream last night that it was lashing rain before the gig. Got inside, they opened with Dead Inside with an outro consisting of a very extended Forced In. It went on for so long I decided to go for a piss. When I got back everyone was leaving and someone told me it was because the rain was so bad outside that the gig couldn't go ahead inside, and would continue the following day.
Edit: I updated my vote last
1. Futurism
2. Darkshines
3. Assassin
4. Easily
5. Showbiz
6. Muscle Museum
7. Glorious
8. Sing For Absolution
9. Eternally Missed
10. City of Delusion

Is anyone expecting them to play any of the high voted songs before SBE as practice or not until the gig itself and a couple show immediately after?
If they announce the winners beforehand then I wouldn't be too surprised with them playing one or two of the songs before SBE, like with Megalomania in 2011. If they plan on keeping the results a surprise, I'd say they won't play any of them beforehand, since it would defeat the purpose of the surprise.
