  1. Revolt is the first Muse song that I REALLY wanted to just turn off, if it wasn't for me wanting to hear the whole album. Not even Big Freeze made me feel this awful about a Muse song. And Drones is just pointless and cringey to me. Also disappointed that both Aftermath and The Globalist had great parts, but are brought down by their latter halves. Oh yeah, and I loved the instrumentation of Defector but absolutely hated the vocals. The second half of this album often made me feel like I was listening to church rock.
  2. The bass in the pre-chorus is just fantastic. Probably some of my favorite from Chris ever. My favorite moment in the song is probably that second chorus when Matt takes a breath and belts out that falsetto.
  3. I'm glad that they made such a great song as the turning point of the character in the album. I love how he is stating how he is controlled in the first verse, then bursts into the realization he wants out in the pre-chorus. I really feel the sense of the character being brainwashed but breaking out of it.
  4. Haha I guess we just all have similar music taste and when I first got into Muse I was obsessed and played them a ton. They must have thought they have to be pretty good for me to listen to them that much. Taking them to a concert pretty much cemented Muse as their favorite band.
  5. Just as good every time. I can't stop listening. Damn those drums are punchy.
  6. At least the vocals blend with the music and don't stick out like a sore thumb.
  7. I don't think people are comparing the song as a whole to In Your World. Just the part at 2:20, because it really does sound just like IYW. The guitar anyway.
  8. I can't fucking believe this song is this good. I'm overwhelmed with happiness that they can still put out such an amazing, dark hard-hitting song. Without going into campy territory.
  9. I actually feel his voice in this song works much more like an instrument than it does in Reapers. This reminds me of how it blended back during Origin and Absolution.
  10. I'd love if they closed gigs with this song, maybe with some riffs at the end.
  11. This is sounding fucking amazing. Better with each listen. I'm honestly loving the length of the solo, I like that it's long and slowly building. And Matt's singing is just fantastic and fits so well with the music. God I love this.
