I did a guitar cover of Weezer's Say It Ain't So. Only the background guitar on the verses is original. Everything else is redone. I'm quite proud of this one. All the guitar tones were from BIAS FX.

Very nice, If I had the funds/the board space I'd certainly buy one.

I just played an Animated
-
Not going to guess who because I've sold a ton to the UK. Love to know what they think.
This is getting crazy. Tim's was #50. This means by my guesswork, I've sold about 1/8th of what the originals have... Sheeeit.
He is from Ireland, so I imagine that'll narrow it down I'll ask him to bring it up some week so I actually hear one. My attempt at making on never really worked. Although I plan on salvaging the parts and trying again sometime.

One of my roommates in Uni has an animated!

Here's a demo I've done with my band. Very proud of this. And considering how basic our recording system was I think it sounds great!

Was going to have it switching the kaoss pad in and out of the chain, but might have it set so I can use 2 amps instead. Not had a chance to mess about with it yet though.
Ah ok. I imagine you know how to set both of those settings up. I asked because I thought you might want help in setting whatever you were doing up.

Going to redo my board in a few days now my LS-2 has arrived. No idea how I'm going to have it set up though
What are you using it for?
-
I'm also running out of space on my board I'm saving a space for the Meatbox but once that's on it's stuffed to the max!
I could get a PT3 but that would only allow me t find 1 or 2 more on. So I'm going to wait until I can justify a PT Pro.

I saw a Lexicon MX200 for sale nearby for €150 and I seriously tempted to get it seeing as my amp is rackmounted and I'll be buying a rack head for it soon. The only issue is finding a way to control it. I was thinking of a MIDI footswitch but I'm new to the whole world of that. I just want to be able to move through patches and I'd like a space efficient option. Anyone have any ideas?

Axe FX, a Kemper, and a pedal tray for stuff that isn't in the Axe FX.
-
It's a fuzz factory. More than likely with full gain and Comp and no gate and stab. With those settings I get a very similar tone.
-
That sounds like the tone a 12 year old uses the first time they hear QOTSA.
They were so close too. The Green Rhino is a fucking great pedal for that sound and if they'd used the bridge pickup they'd be close. But with the fuzzes and the neck pickup they're closeer to Kyuss than QOTSA.

What's your amp/cab setup now? I do wonder if something like that would have a negative effect on the amp too. Like if your amp's tranny doesn't have enough juice to handle the meatbox - it might end up blowing instead.
A Hartke HA3500. It's a 350 watt hybrid amp, I'm pretty damn sure it has the power to take the Meatbox. It's the cab (Marshall DBS 7210 with currently unidentified speakers) that I'm worried about.
-
Because I'm getting a DOD Meatbox, I'm trying to find the cheapest way of being able to run it full tilt (more as a factor of safety for actually useable settings). So far my options are wait until I'm playing with a full PA with decent sub woofers (unlikely), buying an Ampeg 8x10 or a cab with an 18" speaker.

Is that a Manson MBK1?
That looks savage. I love the exposed screwheads.
-
If you love something, let it go.

You may have to enlarge your hole for the black knob.

Has Jim invited TGP over here again?
Let's find out.
KLONS ARE GLORIFIED TUBESCREAMERS
-
real tubes?
and which one, the mini like Bs' or the standard one like mine?
Bs doesn't need to compensate...
Two Verellen amps, one running a marshall 4x12 ad one running an ampeg 8x10. Serious stuff.
And I got the stand one. I wouldn't save enough space to justify the small one. Plus I don't like narrow pedals like that.

I saw Russian Circles last night. Their tones were spot on. And it was nice to see a set up that wasn't an Axe FX running into a kemper
I also bought a Polytune

My band's got a gig at a bar in a few weeks, but I don't have mics for my (cheap) drums. Do I need any for a gig like this, and how many or for which bits?
How big is the bar? I know my covers band normally only has a kick drum mic if we're in a small venue and one overhead if it's a bit bigger. Drums are fuckin loud, man.
-
I thought that might be it. What's to explain about the towel? It's to prevent the drinks from soaking into the cardboard!
And I didn't see that speech, what happened?
I don't know. Last time I saw them (which was the only time I've properly met them) Mike seemed to just want to get out of there. Not sure about the first time I saw them - I was out of there before the band was, as I didn't want anyone taking that drum stick that everyone was fighting over!
Ben was really nice though. Managed to get a picture and speak to him for a good five minutes.
I know Dave had a similar experience (although he got a picture with both of them)
Yeah, Mike came out of the venue like someone who just found out they need a filling. He took 2 or 3 photos (Me being one of them ) and then went onto the tour bus.
They clearly weren't in a rush since Ben stayed out with fans for over an hour. Absolutely lovely guy!

Maybe (shocker), they just recorded it live without a click?

I'm just doing regular chords. It sounded fine to me.
