  1. Yeah, I probably would too to be honest. On a separate topic, because I'm too lazy to move over to the general thread, does anyone know anything about dust getting into pedals and messing with them. I swear my Whammy turned itself on earlier and was then changing settings by itself before I could turn it off, haha! Is there any way of using that contact cleaner stuff for guitar switches or something? I don't even know how to open a pedal like that up, but I don't really want to have to get a replacement. I can't afford one anyway, so I'll have to manage if there's no quick fix.
  2. This is basically what happened to me when the last two songs came out, haha! Listened to them once and then went and listened to the old albums for a week or so. Never went back to the new ones after that, haha!
  3. Hmmm, tough one. It depends what I was planning on using it for, I suppose. I do find the 7th string very useful, but I've got two of them already now so...it would depend what I thought I needed. I think I'm fine with what I've got, haha! I really need to save now!
  4. I only just got my new one back anyway so I don't think that's going to happen, haha! I'm pretty much broke these days anyway, so I think three will forever be the magic number to be honest, haha!
  5. I liked the acoustic preview, and don't really mind the final song, though it's not especially my thing, but it seems nice enough for what it is. On the other hand, I'm really not sure I can see myself listening to this new album based on the three songs we've got so far.
  6. To be honest, as much as I prefer their more abstract stuff, I'll take Matt's spacey lyrics over their quasi-political stuff any day if that's what it comes down to.
  7. Ruled By Secrecy, Hoodoo, Exo III, MK Ultra and Animals are all some of the best songs on those albums for me, and I also love Apocalypse Please, Megalomania, and a couple of others you're indifferent too. Funny how people have completely different takes on certain songs.
  8. Haha, yeah, I'm talking about those two, haha! I thought Dig Down was pretty awful, and Thought Contagion, while better, still isn't that inspiring. I'm hoping the rest of the album will be better though.
  9. Are we just not allowed to dislike IBTY then? I mean, I have no problem if other people like it or not, I don't really care, but personally the lyrics kill it completely for me and I can't listen to it at all. It's probably one of my least favourite Muse songs and I don't care if it's supposed to be silly or not, I just don't like it. Or are we getting into 'true fans like every song' territory here?
  10. Why would an external pedal be affected by an internal circuit on the guitar? I think it's just to do with the batteries in the guitar or interference between texts circuits or something. On my ali custom, the FF and piezo run off the same battery with no problem, but for some reason if you turn the sustainer (which is on different batteries) and the FF on at the same time, they don't work properly. No idea why, but it's not a major issue. As I said I can just use my floor pedal when I need to, which usually sounds better anyway, haha! And yes, it's the FF7 I've got, and I actually use it for my main sound on the two customs as it sounds so good with them. Something about the combination of the FF7 and the internal piezo circuit colouring the guitar sound makes a really nice thick, heavy, slightly fuzzy distortion sound. It doesn't work so well if the piezo is disengaged though somehow, as it just doesn't sound right then. I don't use it with the MB-1 either for the same reason. Otherwise it's great.
  11. Sustainer and internal FF don't work together on my ali custom, but then there's tonnes of stuff going on in that guitar so who knows. Works fine with external FF though of course. Might depend on the guitar?
  12. Cute video, it's nice to hear him talking 'normally', for want of a better word. Really hope the final song keeps some of the minimalist acoustic flavour, though I'll be pleasantly surprised told that's the case. I haven't cared for either of the two new songs so far, but this seems to have some potential at least for me.
  13. I've reached the point of just saying Old Muse at the end of the list to be honest. Most people understand.
  14. Haha, I haven't played Buck Rogers for a while to be honest (though I do break out Just A Day from time to time if the mood takes me), but I'm sure I'll get Comfortably Numb or Coming Back To Life in there somewhere if I feel like playing some Floyd, haha! Otherwise I'll probably play some Godspeed and maybe try the new Coheed song if I can figure it out. The pedal sounds nice when the demo guy isn't being really over the top with it. Pretty good for a compact pedal I guess, though I actually really need to spend more time experimenting with my Big Sky, haha! I haven't had time to try new settings on anything for months, so hopefully I can get back to that soon too.
  15. If you're paying. Yep, arrived again safely. I'll give it a play on Sunday.
  16. Fair enough, but it's still only only thirty seconds or so here and there, and of course it was going to be marketed to some extent. Maybe I'm just missing the point because I couldn't care less about seeing it anyway, but you've literally seen like two or three riffs that you knew were in there anyway. I saw HAARP in the cinema and I don't think seeing, for example, the SBH or TIRO intro beforehand, would have had any effect on my enjoyment of the experience.
  17. You know they played Psycho. You know they played The Globalist. You know they played Knights of Cydonia. So...why is it a problem? Aren't the teaser videos only like 30 seconds anyway? It's not like you're having the plot of an exciting new film being given away here...
  18. Meh, I like The Globalist for what it is, but I really don't think they need to be in the same set personally, and I'd still choose Citizen Erased every time. I also don't think I'd enjoy having one of my all time favourite Muse songs chopped in half for ten minutes, haha!
  19. Haha, sadly not, there was just a problem with the batteries that they were being drained constantly even when the guitar wasn't in use. Some kind of short somewhere. Fixed now apparently and should be back today, though I won't play again before Sunday.
  20. Wait, you're at Manson's again, James? Did your sixth sense tell you my new guitar was back there for repairs, because if so, you've just missed it, I'm afraid. Should be getting it back this week.
