  1. Cool, well, fair play. I always used to use .81 (not Tortex obviously) but because the Tortex ones are so sturdy generally, .73 works out pretty well. I'll consider changing up to the .88 ones or something in future as it might be better for thicker strings or whatever, but at the moment, I find the .73s pretty good. Oh, also, the 5th picture you posted looks a bit like the kind of damage on my Pacifica, except the dents in mine are much deeper and more concentrated, haha. Poor thing.
  2. I've played both .88 and 1.00 (I think - the blue one) before and they did actually both feel really nice. If you want to have the option of strumming and stuff as well though, I'd recommend the .73s as they offer a great overall balance.
  3. *Looks at first post* *As always, saves pictures of Ali Clad and MB-1...I can't help it!* Also, nice MA-2, MFC! It's looking good there!
  4. It's so spot on, it's scary! I think Liam missed a trick not using the Plug In Baby spinning for the "you turn around" bit though!
  5. It was pretty awesome...I woke up thinking "Oh, man, I can't believe I wasn't there! ........Oh, wait, what? Oh! :$"
  6. In no particular order, because that would be impossible. As of today... Space Dementia Citizen Erased Megalomania Hyper Chondriac Music Ruled By Secrecy Hmmm...Actually those are the only 5 I'm sure about at the moment...Come back to me on the others!
  7. Live, maybe, but not on the recorded version. It's the same harmonic as Stockholm Syndrome.
  8. Nope! 2.5 on the higher D string, then 2.5 on the lower D string. Trust me, I spent ages figuring out the lower one!
  9. The harmonics are definitely 2.5 on the two D strings. I spent ages figuring them out when I was first learning it.
  10. Yeah I think that's how it's meant to be played. Sounds right to me anyway.
  11. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the way Matt plays it to be honest. It's what he did on songs like New Born...
  12. Ooooooohhhhh, sorry...I use the 5th fret on the A string 99% of the time really...But I wouldn't be surprised if it's meant to be the other one...I do play it on the D string sometimes though, either to powerchord it and make it a bit chunkier, or to make it easier to go into the chord in the second part of the riff...
  13. I do... D 0 [12] [12] 0 [12] [12] 0 [12] [12] [3] [3] [3] [3] 0 [12] [12] 0 [12] [12] 0 [12] [12]------------------ A------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ D ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [3] [3] [3] [3] Then the main riff... Natural harmonics...Hope that looks alright...
  14. I can't watch any video of Santa 1.0 now without thinking of the amount of abuse it suffered over the years! Poor thing! Mind you, Santa 2.0 is hardly doing much better!
  15. I found the Hullabaloo version but won't be able to save it on my laptop until tomorrow, so I'll wait until tomorrow night and try at the different options, then see what sounds best.
  16. I don't have the Hullabaloo tab book, so that doesn't help me much!
  17. A week or two ago, there were a few of you talking about one of the chords in the Micro Cuts chorus that was horribly wrong in the tab book or something, but as I'd not played Micro Cuts in a while, I didn't pay particular notice to it. I was playing it again for the first time in ages over the weekend though (having a proper riff fest along with Hyper Music and Dead Star in the process, I might add), and I really noticed it. I'm assuming it's the chord that's x-10-12-12-9-10 or whatever, as it's the only one that looks odd and also sounds really out of place. Can anyone who was talking about it before let me know what should be played instead of that? Cheers!
  18. It's things like that that confirm the "I dun lozt mai mussel myouzeum peddle!" excuse as bollocks!
  19. Hey, what can I say, some people just don't get it, right? It was at the end of the song though with all the falsetto craziness so the song was still finished and then I went up on stage after as that was the end of the show. Shame I won't have that experience for real though!
  20. I dreamed last night that I was at Reading, the show was great, during Megalomania a load of bouncy balls were released into the crowd, and everyone ran off chasing them, so I got to go up on stage as everyone had left, met Matt, he was a top bloke, I got a photo with him and all that jazz, and then I woke up, realising I don't have a ticket to Reading. FML!

Finally, a picture of James in action! Obviously still doesn't want to show his full face just yet though!
