I'm sure you absolutely fit in. Welcome! I have no one around me who quite "gets" Muse -my hubs came to Raleigh with me but... I don't know, he wasn't really into it at all. I'm stil finding my feet (and voice) here, and am quite nervy around people, but at the end of the day the people here share a common passion (mostly!).
Heheh you inspired me to go look.... voila!
Its even madder than I remembered, I want to find a better quality copy now!
Thanks Shiner, what a great way to start the day!
Hi all. I have been a fan for almost 10 years. I was a staunch Manics fan for many many years but was getting a bit fed up of waiting for them to cheer up a bit. I had seen Muse reviews in the music papers but had not heard their music, until 2001 when I caught them on a TV show (I think it was TOTP). Many things struck me which I still vividly remember: The lead singer played both keyboard and guitar and did both splendidly and had glorious red hair. The drummer was having a fine old time. The bassist was headbanging. A breakdancer appeared. The bassist sat on the breakdancer. The drummer sat on the bassist. Mayhem occurred. All whilst playing New Born. I was hooked.
Has anyone posted a vid of Chris' curtain malfunction from the Staples Centre 2nd gig?
This one is quite good - lovely close up of his reaction when it finally came down.
