  1. I would presume the presence of Resistance and GL over Blackout is not helped by the fact that The Resistance Tour dvd got scrapped? Although with Blackout being on both Absolution and HAARP it makes sense not to show that again i suppose
  2. Just had a go at doing my first cover. I don't think it's too bad for my first proper attempt at anything like this. Just had another go today, trying to make the audio as clear as possible. I think it's a little better, although my audio file seems to be much clearer until i try and add it to the video, which is when it goes a bit muddier
  3. Hate time Deadstar at Coventry surprised me with how generic it sounded. Maybe it was just the crowd but it didn't give me any sort of wow feeling compared to the first time i heard CE and Butterflies Edit: Also nothing sticks in my mind more than the first (and only) time i've seen Map live. I wanna see it again to make sure it wasen't just first gig excitement but i hold it as the best song ive ever heard by any band live.
  4. Oh dear . I can't think of many people touring currently who it could be appropriate too. Possibly Green Day or Chili Peppers again? It seems too strange a date for it to be Muse, with the UK leg of the tour 2 months before.
  5. i will never understand why bands would go to the trouble of completely relearning songs, making visuals and effects just for one off performances like Japan normally get.
  6. Everyone seems to think different to me. I would say the that all the shows will sell out of GA/lower seats within the first 30 mins, and the majority of all the seats left will sell out within the day (apart from the few straggles of seats right at the very back which never actually seem to sell). I can imagine Emirates 2nd night being a total sell out tommorow though.
  7. It will be interesting to see how it sells if tickets are more like £75 then. I can't see myself getting tickets if thats the case. It works out a hell of a lot of money for 3/4 of you when you have to account for tickets/transport/accomodation. The guys should just play on 4 piles of stacked crates so as to not incur stage costs.
  8. 2010 Stadiums were the same price as the arenas at around the £50 mark though wern't they? I only did stadium shows in 2010 so cant remember the arena price. I can't see them going more than the £65 just to compete with everyone else doing the stadiums that time next year. I dont really want to pay any more than what i paid this year at the Arenas but Muse could charge what they like and it would still sell out straight away just because it's Muse. I guess we will see in the next few days anyway. How are the European stadium dates priced compared to their arena shows?
  9. I have a feeling we could get the UK announcements tommorow some time. Im expecting tickets to be the same as the arenas at around £65 all in. Im just hoping for some good production to justify the price again
  10. I was thinking that myself when i was re-watching it earlier There's a full tab of Animals up on Ultimate-guitar now too, haven't had too much time to check it all out but it seems pretty good. Infact i think pretty much the entire album is now tabed on UG...
  11. Has anyone had a go at tabbing Animals yet, definately my favourite song off the album, and i've been sitting here all day working out small parts for it but if anyone has any extra it would be lovely!
  12. A couple of song ideas i've just been messing around with, first time ever recording so im not sure if they've turned out good or bad, but i dont think they sound too bad.
  13. But unless they are going to be back over here for any festival dates (V/Download perhaps?) then there not going to tour here straight after doing a UK arena tour only months before. Chances are, if they aren't going to headline any UK fests next year, then they will concentrate more on Europe/America. Then by the time these tours are over, it will be coming up to the end of the year when large outdoor stadium concerts aren't feasable.
  14. How can you say they are not big enough for somewhere like Knebworth? For a band to sell out an arena tour in these current times, with tickets in the £65 region in seconds, selling out two nights at wembley stadium in minutes, twice. Ofcourse Muse don't have the album sales behing them like most big bands, but they have no problem selling out any venue they choose to play. If a venue like knebworth was chosen, then it would almost certainly be advertised as Muse's only 2013 UK performance, and they would have no problem selling it out.
  15. You only have to listen to the album trailer to realise that this all seems very very world trouble/political, on an even grander scale than The Resistance was. We wont be seeing anything other than a more over the top show than the last tour, which i for one am glad about. I still loved seeing the Leeds stage show last year, but the arena and stadium shows on The Resistance tour were just incredible.
  16. But when your Matt sitting in a room writing the setlist, and you have 15 hits to fit into a 15 song set (not including jams/interlude) you obviously are going to keep the same basic setlist. When your Thom sitting in a room writing the setlist, and you have 15 hits to fit into a 23 song setlist, you can sit there and think ok, this rarity will fit in between these two songs etc...Which is how variation comes about. If Muse played the same 15 songs in a different order every night, it wouldnt make any difference because its still just the same 15 songs.
  17. Radioheads last 2 shows, 15 of the same songs were played each night,? no, that is correct. But when you go to a muse arena show, they play the 15 same songs every night, then its show over. When you go to a Radiohead arena show, they play the same 15 songs every night, but then they go on to play another 8 songs on top,
  18. Personally, it's ridiculous for you to think that those songs SHOULDN'T be played every gig. Every band who is of any size what so ever plays a minimum of 15-20 of the same songs every single night. Muse certainly don't sell anywhere near as much in terms of albums/singles as their competitors(Foos/Green Day/RHCP/Coldplay), so it's fair to say anything that isn't played on the radio is unknown material for a lot of the people who attend the gigs. With Muse it's the fact that they don't play for long enough, especially at their Arena shows, which then leaves them no room to include rarer songs.
  19. Ok, so yeah, today I went to Air Studios on a whim after Dom posted a picture on twitter of Matt playing guitar there. Long story short, I think my life is complete, for those of you that haven’t met them, they are some of the nicest guys ever. Around half an hour after I got there a load of muser girls from France and Italy arrived and waited for them with me. Anyways, after waiting for about an hour or two Dom came out put his suitcase by his car and walked over to me and said hi. Spoke to him for about ten minutes, he told me Matt was still there recording vocals and Chris had gone home earlier in the day. So I got a photo with him gave him a hug and then he went home. Then, waited for another hour or so before Matt came out. Probably spoke to him for about fifteen minutes about everything from chord progressions to how the new album is sounding. Anyway, I don’t want to bore you with stuff you already know but Dom said the new album reminds him of OoS a lot because it’s really experimental due to a bit of electronica, bongos, 35 piece choirs etc. Both him and matt also told me there a few heavier tracks (which in my opinion is awesome!) and Matt even said one of the songs has a riff really similar to the one from the live version of citizen erased ( just after the 3:53 mark) he also told me he’s been using that Manson quite a lot on this albums because there’s a few songs in the key of A in which he uses the 7-string for the low A on it. Also, Matt told me that he’d been recording the vocals for a song called ‘Follow Me’ today, which is apparently “about having a baby and that”! So yeah, make of that what you will. Reblog and tell any other musers that the new album is apparently sounding awesome and that also, Dom said especially that he thinks it’s definitely better than The Resistance… x Edit: Oh yeah, also, Dom said they’re planning to play a gig in london later this year “probably some big indoor place”… I just thought I’d add that when I remembered! Another Edit: Dom said Chris has written a “lovely piano number for the new album”…
  20. Could these dates just be a couple of Teignmouth style shows, NOT actually homecoming shows, but just a couple of pre-album gigs to keep them on the ball after a year of no live shows?
  21. Yes i understand that totally Drummers hardly ever get to express their more creative side in songs.
  22. It's probably just me but the only thing i would say is, during the little bass interlude part, the overly complex drum fills just doesnt seem quite right to me. Great sounding song though.
