  1. So I’m now back to home in Finland. Let me say first; OH MY GOD WHAT A GIG! The most insane show I’ve ever attended, and to be honest, this is going to be hard to beat.

I started queuing at 5.20am, at number 54. Long story short, the queuing was very well organized, the security people (especially Laura) were really friendly and open about everything. Things started to get messy with the O2 customers getting their own queue and literally people turning up right before doors got in same/better spots as fans that had been queuing forever! All the fans were really nice and everyone was in a great mood, this was my best queuing experience so far and it was fun to meet new people. We could hear them soundchecking Glorious, and we were making guesses about the first time, and we really liked the idea of Assassin starting the show.

When doors opened after 7pm/19.00, I got to the third row. That stage was so low I could barely see something. But after 9pm, when lights go out, crowd is shouting and the band walks on stage. And then, Assassin kicks in. Holy sh*t what a way to start. The crowd was so loud, everyone was pushing me from all sides, I couldn’t breath and it was so hot, I started sweating instantly more than I had ever before. I knew I couldn’t take the whole gig in that kind of circumstances. My glasses and phone were being dropped all the time, I nearly fell to the ground so many times, and I could already feel where I was going to get bruises, lol. Dead Star and then Muscle Museum, I was so excited, but I couldn’t take it anymore. I literally felt like I was going to faint and die, and I got an asthma and a panic attack, I just had to run away/squeeze out from the front as nobody couldn’t hear or see me asking for help. The rest of the show, I couldn’t see anything, and I was feeling like sh*t, but it was totally worth it. The setlist was so spot-on, and the performances of the songs were amazing. I’m disappointed in myself that I couldn’t stay at the front for the entire show, but I never felt so bad in my life, and I wanted to hear all the songs. And there’s really no reason to complain, I got tickets to the show and heard every song. So unforgettable, this show made history.

I’m now uploading the songs I got to Youtube, I’ll make sure to post links here (Spoilers: they are so shaky and bad angle, but sound is very good!)

    Easily and Showbiz already uploaded;

I'm sorry to hear about that :( - but it only reinforces my belief that being right at the front is quite literally the worst place to be at any gig. It was always going to be utterly insane down there.

Reminds me of my experience at Reading 2011 - I felt exactly the same way and escaped over the barrier and missed Micro Cuts, Screenager, Dark Shines. I think that was my festival naivety though not expecting that.

However, I think it is just luck in terms of placement. I deliberately hovered at the back of the floor by the sound desk for this one purposefully to try and avoid that and it was still the mightiest squeeze and I couldn't see a damn thing because of the low floor. I was also getting incredibly hot and breathless so moved over to the left hand side nearer the stairs around half way through. More space but sadly the sound was a bit meh from there (and still couldn't see anything)

Still a great show and I'm very thankful I got to be a part of it, but I'm really not cut out for these intense floor experiences

  2. Haven't voted yet so just checking - are there any songs being voted for that Matt/any of them realistically are unlikely to play that well these days due to difficulty/singing constraints etc?

I don't really want to have paid to see them sound like a cover band trying to play something really obviously can't pull off anymore. Not that I don't want to see an entire set list of crazyness but I'd rather see say, a really good performance of Hyper Music or Muscle Museum than a really shit one of Eternally Missed* just because of how rare it is.

    * just an example, I actually have no idea how difficult that is to sing

  3. Fucking hell they need to stop announcing London shows, I expected my bank account to only have to deal with two...

I have tickets to the 11th, 14th and 15th so far, but the policy of "attend both nights because otherwise you risk hating yourself" is really being pushed to the limit here

  4. Now I really like this. Something about it just works and I was actually really surprised that when I watched the live version I thought it looked great, far better than Madness/Undisclosed Desires.

It's also the first Muse song for a while that I've actually found the lyrics to be quite cleverly put together, regardless of the simpleness.

  5. Surely it takes less than two months to get the pyramid set up from Mexico to Australia, even by sea. I mean, the pyramid itself took less than a week to be shipped from Tokyo to San Diego back in January.

Unless they're doing South American dates after the Mexico City show.

I don't think the pyramid needs to be shipped. In Tokyo they used the stage that was already in the Arena whereas the rest of the tour had the completely custom round stage, which is what I believe would need to be shipped.

  6. Not really, any combination of those three would be shit.

Tbh I wouldn't complain if I saw that.

Swap Uprising with Take a Bow and change the ordering and both encores would make a bit more sense anyway.

  7. Can I call this mixed messages from ticketmaster now? ;)

    Hi Daniel,

    Thank you for your emai.

The name printed on the ticket(s) will always be the name of the person who purchased them, but can be used by anyone. ID will not be requested on entry.

Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Best wishes,

  8. Not really - the signal seems to be that if one of your party isn't the person who booked the tickets, you're not getting into the concert. Pretty harsh if I'm honest - the least they could do it allow ticket transferring ;)

Well from that it's not no, but everyone else seems to be pretty confident it's not an issue. And a few people have said 'oh I spoke to ticketmaster on the phone and it's apparently not a problem blah blah'.

  9. Kat ♡ ‏@TweetieKaz 7h

@TicketmasterUK Hi, I was wondering if the Muse tickets for Sunday are transferable as my name is on both tickets? Thanks!

    Ticketmaster CS ‏@TicketmasterCS 6h

@TweetieKaz Hi Kat! Do you have 2 tickets? Tickets are not transferrable. Person who booked must attend with photo ID. Thanks.

    Kat ♡ ‏@TweetieKaz 6h

@TicketmasterCS so potentially there will be a lot of people denied entry then ...

    Ticketmaster CS ‏@TicketmasterCS 6h

@TweetieKaz Sorry for any inconvenience. They will not gain entry to the show as the person who booked must present photo ID on arrival.

    :erm: Mixed signals all over.

  10. Thanks everyone! :) Thankfully it's not a long journey for me so even if I did get an overly picky steward it wouldn't be a massive disaster. I hope for the sake of others travelling far that everyone's allowed in though, there's been A LOT of ticket swapping going on so.

  11. I THOUGHT OF THIS IDEA LAST NIGHT FREAKY VOODOO SHIT MAN.

I'm a bit busy to really get stuck into lists right now, but can I just honourably mention Survival, because it's fucking kicked my ass every single time I've seen it. Even better with the stadium show pyro too. That solo. Those riffs... Waaaahhhhhhh. :facemelt:

(and then they close with Starlight instead, fffff...)
