When I feel stressed, I listen to that song, is that normal?
I've never met a robot with feelings.
-
JT has many good songs, he just has a fair share of some absolutely awful ones too
like muse
-
Well that all went well.
The jokes have got awful shite on here
The beef isn't even beefy
So dissapointed
-
Well if you like Justin Timberlake and boy bands then you will probably like this song.
I do hear bits of Pusher Love Girl in it so yeah I take your point
-
I CAN'T GET enough of this
currently having a massive breakdown over the synth in the 'high above the ashes' bit
That bit (the chorus as a whole) has gotta be one of the best things Muse have done at least since BH&R, if not ever. Such a gorgeous chorusThis song is incredibly good -

I think BITM would've charted better than any of the other lead singles had it came out first.
On the flip side, my expectations for the album would've been much much higher than they were so I'm glad it wasn't the first single.
-
They've written at least 20 songs in the years since Guiding Light has been released that are not as good as Guiding Light
I'm ready to name them if you think I'm kidding
Go ahead brother

Basically exo-politics?
Yeah. Exo, Resistance, Liquid State etc
Blockades>MK Ultra>Exo-Politics>DefectorSong with pretty similar roles on their respective albums imo.
MK is not beige
-
For me Blockades is the quintessential beige song Muse have on every album
-
I dream of a day Muse drop MWAH and also don't use KoC at the end of each gig
-
Okay I can't resist. Currently:
Algorithm - 9/10
The Dark Side - 6/10
Pressure - 7/10
Propaganda - 7/10
Break It To Me - 10/10
Something Human - 7/10
Thought Contagion - 5/10
Get Up and Fight - 5/10
Blockades - 8/10
Dig Down - 6/10 (although Gospel version is a straight 10)
The Void - 9/10
Overall very solid. Still upset about the vocals in Propaganda, it could've been a 10
-
And posters whose usernames begin with G don't know what they're talking about.
See, it's easy to make generalizations!!
Seriously though, WTF did that come from? I mean, just on this board, the Americans here seem to like it just fine. And since when is Muse considered a stadium band in America
.
-
-
Americans don't like this album
Where has their cliche stadium pop rock band gone :'(:'(
Currently I'd slot it in behind the Resistance and Showbiz but well above Drones and 2nd Lol
-
I'm really trying to like Propaganda, and I do - a bit. I know he's going for the Prince - Kiss style but if he held back the breathiness and went for head voice at some points it would be a far greater song, I think.

Always love a good genre discussion
-
As much as I did like this version of Dig Down the studio version is not likely to have Jools on the piano which will cut down my enjoyment greatly.
-
Not digging St Vincent's new album. The previous ones were good. But going back to Radiohead, I put on "In Rainbows" yesterday and it struck me that they're operating on a level 10000x higher than Muse.
Yes but even Radiohead are capable of making complete wankery like TKOL
But yeah back to Muse...
Well, maybe best not to in actual fact.
-
Best Muse song in a long time imo
-
If £50 is the cheapest then sorry Muse...
-
Lithium as probably the most average Nirvana song you could do and they've already done it so noty
Demi Lovato cover pls
-
Not sure Led Zep have the genius in them to come up with something like Pink Ego Box
-
What do you class as the chorus? "You've got strength" etc, or "you can revolt"? I really love the latter
it's all the chorus

You're all thinking into it too much.
The lyrics make perfect sense without referring to what you're all referring to. I hadn't even thought about it that way. As if that's the only instance that term is used.
