  1. I thought they had one more album left in their contract...

I think I've read that too... It might even be two more albums but I'm not sure. From everything they've said in interviews, they seem to really enjoy what they do and - unlike a lot of other bands - seem to get along and enjoy each other's company as well. I'd be shocked if they broke up. I wouldn't be surprised if they take a fairly long break from touring though... They've been on the road almost constantly for quite a while.

  2. My boyfriend was at the casino playing poker yesterday and they played Uprising over the sound system. Of course, this was the first thing he told me when he called me afterwards. :D Who cares how much money you won? They played MUSE!

If I had been there, I would have gotten up and started dancing and singing along. Sadly, he said no one did this - although he admitted to tapping his foot to the beat.

  3. hoodoo. i laid on the floor in my room and listened to it like ten times in a row. it hit me like a ton of bricks.

Me too. I always skipped this track but then this morning on my drive to work I listened to it all the way through then repeated it several times. I always thought it was somewhat boring but for some reason today it sounded different to me. Then I looked up the lyrics when I got to work and now I like it even more. Beautiful song.

I also posted in misheard lyrics about this - the "regress into a dream" line sounded like "grass into a tree."

  4. I'm currently on an inexplicable Sunburn kick at the moment

I've literally listened to it 6 or 7 times in a row, and it's playing as I type. I have no clue why. It came up on iTunes awhile ago and I was just like ". . . again!" I don't know about you guys, but this happens often with me with Muse songs. I just randomly get obsessed with one for a day or two. I'm so weird...

Story of my life. Yesterday it was Megalomania, today it has been City of Delusion.

This has never happened with any other band before. Could it be love?

Same thing for me. Yesterday and today I've been listening to Hysteria nonstop. I'm usually in the car for at least two hours a day driving back and forth to work and sometimes I just put one song on repeat the whole time. I've done this with Space Dementia, Unnatural Selection, Dark Shines, Map of the Problematique... I could go on.

This is also the first band I've ever joined a messageboard for. I think it is love! :musesign:

  5. Just wondering...Contacts or glasses better for the pit?

If contacts, then I really need to get some ordered :p

Hmmm, another thing to worry about... I'm hoping I'll be fine with my glasses. I have contacts but they're a slightly outdated rx so I can't see as well with them as I can with my glasses.

  6. GA is powerful, I can't imagine what it'll be like for Muse. My boyfriend LOVES them almost as much as I do, so if they come to FL it'll be a blast! I really would love to go to some shows up north, hotels & such are expensive.

My boyfriend likes them, he's just not obsessed like I am :D. It's probably good that he'll be there in the pit with me too. Not sure I'd brave it on my own.

If I had more money I'd follow them all over (and out of) the country!

  7. Sometimes it's hard to breathe. Everyone around me is usually a good 5-6 inches taller than me so it's hard to get fresh air. It's not terrible though, I promise. Do not let it deter you from going GA :D

Good to know. I'm definitely going to go GA for both New York and New Jersey. And if they announce any other dates in the vicinity, I'll go to those too!

My boyfriend also doesn't get why I want to go to two shows by the same band two nights in a row, but he's a good sport and will tag along with me to all the shows I want to see. :) I can't quite explain it, but I love this band like I've loved no other band before!

  8. Just wanted to say thank you for this thread! I'll be seeing Muse live for the first time in October and I'm now convinced that I must get GA tix for both shows we're going to. It sounds like the pit doesn't get overly insane.

My boyfriend (who likes Muse but isn't as obsessed as me :)) thinks he's "too old" (we're only 30!) to fight crazy crowds in a pit, but I think the last time he was in a moshpit was at a Gwar show a while back. Somehow I don't think a Muse show is the same scene as a Gwar show! (At least I hope not...)
