  1. And that's why I'm listening to other bands these days. The current Muse doesn't do it for me, but I'm quite happy listening to their older work. I don't have high expectations of the new album, but I'll probably give it a few listens and I'll keep myself updated through Facebook and Twitter.
  2. Showbiz and OoS contain the kind of music I like to listen to, so it's only natural I'd like to hear more of it. A lot of bands go back to their roots these days, but I think the guys just aren't old enough for that yet. They still have plenty of music styles they want to explore. We'll see what they come up with. I'm just nog holding my breath yet. There are other albums around the corner that excite me way more than 'The 2nd Law' does.
  3. I have to disagree. While The Resistance doesn't have "dubstep", neither does any other album. I definitely don't hear any Absolution or OoS influences in the trailer. The first part of the trailer is very Exogenesis-like. So I will make a bet that the upcoming album will have a lot of the same electronic and classical influences that drive The Resistance, only with more hard hitting beats.
  4. I hoped their next album would go back to the 'in your face alternative rock' kind of theme, like Showbiz and OoS, but it looks like they will keep following the road they took with The Resistance. Sadly, The Resistance is my least favourite album, so I reckon this won't be something I will listen to a lot. Therefor, I voted 3.
  5. I feel obliged to say what I think as well, even though it isn't going to be as positive as most people have been in this thread. The last time I really listened to The Resistance was late 2010. I went to the Goffertpark gig that year, and I really enjoyed it. However, after a while, the album just didn't do it for me anymore. I'm still a youngster, and my music tastes are still changing. Lately I've really been into stoner rock/blues rock like Queens of the Stone Age and Seasick Steve. I do still enjoy Showbiz as an album, though, and I would have liked it if they would have gone back to their roots. However, after the first trailer, I don't think I'm going to be attending any Muse gigs this year. I can see why a lot of people are excited for this, it's just not my kind of thing anymore. To each his own is all I have to say. My music tastes changed and I can't really get into what Muse have done in the past few years. As soon as they are doing a Showbiz tour (like Queens of the Stone Age have done with their self-titled album last year, that was awesome), I'll be the first in line for tickets.
  6. ''Sick, sick, sick'' doesnt even scratch the surface. I think ''Feel Good Hit of the Summer'' does a lot more justice to this thread (If you're talking about mental health, as well ) EDIT: I don't think it's very suitable to play for kids, though.
  7. I'm going to go against the majority by saying that Adam's version is MUCH better. I didn't know anything about this Adam guy before I heard this song, but he does this kind of song so much better. It's got more energy, is easier to listen to and just seems to fit his voice. I never liked Matt singing these kind of songs in the first place. Matt's voice was built for pwoper rock, not for this.
  8. This goes for me as well. There isn't a single song I hate, there's just a few that I don't quite like to listen to as much as others. And there's not a lot of those.
  9. I would like an answer on how to choose the right size as well. I am about 2 metres tall but quite slim, and I'm worried that X-large shirts might be too wide. But then again, if I choose to go with large shirts, they might be too short. Dilemma!
  10. Just finished a nice long sleep, and boy, did I need it. Overall amazing gig. And then some! But I did have issues with the sound from Ghinzu. I could only barely hear the singing and the guitars. The bass and drums were too overpowering. The wind has probably contributed to the bad sound as well, but my somewhat trained ears just noticed that something was wrong. The sound Editors produced was just so much cleaner and nicer to listen to. The sound Muse produced though, was in another friggin universe. Everything there is to say about Muse has already been said. Amazing, awesome, great, whatever you want to call it. This was my first concert of any sort, so I started at the top. Things can only get worse from here Maybe Matt messed up a few times with the lyrics, but I was enjoying myself too much to notice. I think the ranting about the setlists is also unjustified. I have no complaints whatsoever. If only they played Showbiz. Overall my best experience of the year. I haven't had a chance to buy a shirt, but I am sure going to do so soon. You'll be seeing me when they come back. Do you have some room in your schedule for next year, Muse?
  11. That's why I decided to go by tourbus. Bad side is that we will probably arive between 4 and 5 pm, which will put us all the way in the back of the crowd. Ah well, it's my first gig and you have to start somewhere.

    Bliss

Yes, not bad in it's own right, but it doesn't have the Muse sound signature and I really don't know why you would want to call this Bliss 2. At least come up with a decent title
  13. Great track, but certainly not the best B-side for me. Although I do compare it a lot with Shrinking Universe, I just think the latter is better.
