  1. The ticket prices for Muse at this venue are lower than those set for Taylor Swift who has three sold-out concerts scheduled here in early November. VIP package tickets for her shows are in the range of the equivalent of USD 350-700. The Rolling Stones and Metallica are notable rock bands who have played at this indoor arena in recent years. The end-stage configuration capacity for this venue is about 13,000 so expect about 8-11k to attend each of the upcoming shows for global touring superstars Muse and Taylor Swift.
  2. 1280 RMB Floor tickets for Muse are now sold out according to the official ticket sellers and concert organisers. Tickets will be mailed or can be picked up starting 7 September. It appears Muse will be the first British rock band and only the second British artist to play this venue after Elton John in 2012. The Eagles played there in 2011 in front of 6k spectators. Beyonce and the Backstreet Boys have also performed at this Beijing indoor arena which has hosted several NBA games in recent years.
  3. January 23-24, 2016 ?? While Madonna will be performing two gigs in Miami and Janet Jackson two shows in Texas during this particular weekend, Muse could possibly schedule two dates in Los Angeles at the Staples Center on the same dates or possibly the weekend of February 6-7. There are also a couple of open mid-week dates in early December and late November before Thanksgiving at this venue assuming the band prefers to play downtown LA instead of The Forum in Inglewood. Taylor Swift now holds the record of 16 sold out concerts at the Staples Center while Muse currently has 5 (and counting). London, Paris and Milan are among the likely tours stops on the European leg of the 2016 Drones arena tour when they are announced. Muse and recent Mexico City concerts: 18k attendees 2007 - one sold out arena gig 50k attendees 2010 - one sold out stadium gig 95k attendees 2013 - four sold out arena gigs 70k attendees 2015 - three sold out arena gigs
  4. The Key Arena in Seattle appears to be a strong possibility since there is no conflict with the NBA schedule (The SuperSonics moved to Oklahoma in 2008). The Staples Center however does not have a lot of open slots available for Muse gig(s). There are a few open dates in November/December/January and around ten days in early February until the 2016 GRAMMY Awards on Monday February 15. Will the band's booking agent opt for the Staples Center (AEG-owned) or the Forum (Azoff/Live Nation) or some other LA venue and how many shows - 1, 2 or 3?
  5. Ballet The System https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ST4g5xqyKPs&feature=player_embedded 'Panic Station' https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/ballet-to-music-by-muse-band#/story Здорово! 'Explorers/Hoodoo/Unsustainable' C'est génial! 'Ruled by Secrecy' Das ist ganz toll! 'Apocalypse Please' Brilliant! 'Exogenesis Symphony: Redemption' Terpsichore + Euterpe = MUSE x 2
  6. NBA will likely release its 2015-16 fixtures by mid-August. I do not believe Muse was able to schedule gigs in Europe during the fall because other superstar acts like 1D, U2, and Madonna had already booked the available arenas. U2's current tour first leg 2015 played only ten cities in North America but with multiple night stands in each market including 8 shows at MSG. If an act wants to save on stage set up, crew, and transportation costs, perhaps Muse should consider a similar arrangement and schedule one or more gigs in geographic markets which will attract close to sold out arenas (10k to 18k) in: Los Angeles/Anaheim (Staples Center or the Forum) Oakland/San Francisco/San Jose/Sacramento New York City/Northern New Jersey Chicago/Milwaukee/Indianapolis Detroit/Ann Arbor/Grand Rapids/Windsor Boston/Hartford Philadelphia/Pittsburgh Wash DC/Baltimore/Northern Virginia/Richmond Dallas/Tulsa Houston/San Antonio/New Orleans Seattle/Portland Phoenix/Tucson/Las Vegas/Albuquerque Toronto/Hamilton Montreal/Quebec City <10k arena break-even possibilities: San Diego Minneapolis/St. Paul/Sioux Falls/Fargo/Omaha/Des Moines/Winnipeg Columbus/Cleveland/Cincinnati/Louisville Denver/Salt Lake City St. Louis/Kansas City Miami/Fort Lauderdale/Tampa/Orlando Atlanta/Nashville/Raleigh/Charlotte Vancouver/Edmonton/Calgary
  7. What an awesome mind-blowing experience to see and hear Muse perform live at the Mayan!! Happy to hear Assassin and Apocalypse Please live for the first time on HD satellite TV if not in person since I missed out on the lottery tickets like so many other fans. Thanks to DirectTV and Guitar Center for broadcasting 80 minutes of the almost full set without commercial interruption. It will be repeated on the Audience channels multiple times next week starting on Sunday for those who missed it or forgot to record it. DirecTV has about 20 million paying customers in the USA and another 20 million customers in Latin America including Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Ecuador.

  11. Today's Muse gig will take place at the new Otkrytie Arena (Spartak Moskva) venue with a capacity of 45,500. This stadium will host some of the scheduled FIFA World Cup matches in Russia in 2018. Over 25k fans attended Muse's last show in Moscow back in May 2011. Latest Park Live Festival ticket availability: About 700 tickets remaining
  12. David Fricke gave it a 4/5 rating at RS. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/albumreviews/muse-drones-20150609
  13. It appears the top ticket price for the upcoming Pearl Jam gig is 680 BRL close to what the promoter is charging for Muse. If fans do not purchase these premium price tickets, the promoter will be forced to lower the prices or lose money on the show. Actual box office numbers for some high profile acts' gigs which took place last year in Brazil by the same promoter: Artist/Venue/City/Country/Event Dates/Gross Sales/Attendance/Capacity/Shows/Sellouts/Prices/Promoter One Direction, P9 Estadio do Morumbi Sao Paulo, Brazil May 10-11, 2014 $9,457,730 102,792 / 102,792 2 / 2 $270.27, $90.09 T4F-Time For Fun One Direction, P9 Parque dos Atletas Rio de Janeiro, Brazil May 8, 2014 $3,826,760 40,087 / 40,087 1 / 1 $269.02, $94.16 T4F-Time For Fun Eddie Vedder Citibank Hall Sao Paulo, Brazil May 6-8, 2014 $1,660,250 11,495 / 11,660 3 / 1 $358.74, $44.84 T4F-Time For Fun
  14. For US Viewers: NBC-TV will broadcast highlights of the Pairs and Men's World Figure Skating Championship in Shanghai on Sunday April 12. As noted previously, Duhamel/Radford from Canada skated to two songs from The Resistance and placed first and won the Gold Medal while Russian Maxim Kovtun skated to another TR track 'Exogenesis Symphony Part 2' and placed 6th in the free skate and 7th overall after a disappointing short program. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWKfrH3OsVQ I also heard 'Madness' twice in the month of March while at the local supermarket doing my grocery shopping.
  15. ISU World Figure Skating Championships in Shanghai, China Pairs Free Skate - Canadians Duhamel/Radford skate to Muse medley (NSC, IBTY, and Uprising) and win the Gold Medal on 26 March 2015. Watched on Universal Sports Network in the USA on DirecTV channel 625.
  16. If you are in the USA you can watch two encore broadcasts of Rock Legends featuring Muse on American satellite networks DirecTV channel 340 or Dish Network tonight 9 March 2015. Also check your local cable TV provider to see if AXS-TV is offered in your area.
  17. Will Muse schedule shows at the O2 arena this fall? Several acts (1D, U2, Imagine Dragons and Madonna) have already booked multiple dates at the venue from late September thru early December 2015. The best possibilities appear to be mid-October or the 2nd week in November. Foo Fighters recently played several stadium gigs in South America attracting over 165k fans in Brazil alone. There is a market for rock music there so Muse will likely schedule several shows there on the next Drones tour. The Global Citizen Festival (now being curated by Chris Martin) will take place in late September 2015 at Central Park in NYC and no headliners have yet been announced. If Coldplay don't perform, Muse could be a possibility if it does not conflict with their soon to be announced 2015-16 arena tour dates.
  18. Possible Los Angeles venues for the new album tour (likely multiple dates at one arena and/or one stadium date): Staples Center (Muse has sold out 5 concert dates previously during the last two tours) The Forum (Muse sold out one show in 2007) Hollywood Bowl (Coldplay sold out three shows during the last tour) Dodger Stadium (AC/DC is playing there in September) Rose Bowl (1D sold out three dates last year, U2 one show in 2010 and Depeche Mode one show in 1988)
  19. http://www.billboard.com/articles/business/6443774/stuart-galbraith-kilimanjaro-pulling-sonisphere-ed-sheeran Interview with Stuart Galbraith of UK promoters Kilimanjaro Live: Billboard: You recently announced that Muse will headline Sonisphere Switzerland and Metallica and Faith No More at the Italian leg. Has the rest of the bill for those events been locked down? Galbraith: Not yet. We're in the process of booking. If they were secured we would have announced them. There is a perception in the industry that [announcing acts] is held back. That's not my experience in regards to Sonisphere. As soon as we have something confirmed we will announce it. Billboard: How are ticket sales for those two European events? Galbraith: Italy goes on sale this week. Switzerland is very strong. We're very, very pleased with it. We have opened up as strong as we have ever done with Sonisphere in Switzerland.
  20. The talent booking agent for Muse, Marsha Vlasic, exits ICM. Muse and Metallica now share the same management (Q Prime) and agency (AGI). http://www.pollstar.com/news_article.aspx?ID=813704 Matt is one of the musicians interviewed for the new book on rock trio Primus. 21. "The song 'Clocks" is for our old friend Matt Bellamy, one of the greatest singers in the world" - Chris Martin who sang a snippet of 'Madness' during the performance at last week's private KROQ/Beats Music gig in Los Angeles and also dedicated 'Viva la Vida' to our young friend Harry Styles who was also in the audience after 1D played three shows at the Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena for over 165,000 fans. http://www.coldplaying.com/coldplay-ace-hotel-la-review/ http://www.musewiki.org/Coldplay #devolution
