  1. In my estimation, there are approximately 6 billion people on the planet. Therefore, there are 6 billion Muse fans. Some are just a little quicker to admit it, that's all.
  2. Something I learned a long time ago: Rule #1: The boss is always right. Rule #2: In cases where the boss is wrong, see Rule #1!
  3. My wife and I are fairly recent Musers, and we live in a town where the local radio stations, with the one exception being a collee station, refuse to play them. They don't think they're "rock" enough. Anyway, back in March when we were getting ready to go to the Chicago show people kept asking, "WHO are you going to see?" They had absolutely no idea who Muse was. The only way any of them had a clue was when I had to bring up THAT scene in THAT movie. Then they mostly said, "Oh, I love that song! I thought it was just for the movie!" There have been a number of unsolved murders in my town recently
  4. My first thought would be Take a Bow. But it could also be considered too slow. And there's also that part about "...and burn, you will burn, you will burn in Hell..." That probably wouldn't go over too well at an 8th grade graduation. But I would still love to see it!!!
  5. My wife has a somewhat similar story about Muse. She has been on some pretty serious painkillers, fentanyl and oxycodone, the last few years due to a couple of car wrecks. I know you've all probably heard of oxy, but the for those of you wondering, fentanyl is a pain patch that is about 80 times more powerful than morphine alone. She was at the next to highest dosage of fentanyl and at about 30mg of oxy a day when her doctor decided to completely yank her off of them practically cold turkey. She went through some absolutely horrible withdrawals. If you wonder what she went through, watch Trainspotting and fast-forward to when Ewen MacGregor is going through his heroin withdrawals. Then think about the fact that fentanyl is more powerful than heroin. (She did have hallucinations, but luckily there were no dead babies crawling across the ceiling at her) The only thing that would calm her down enough at night so she could sleep was Muse. So I am fully convinced that Muse probably saved her from doing something horrible to herself to escape her withdrawals. Thank you very much for sharing your story, and thank you Muse for providing a Guiding Light to all of us in shadow.
  6. My son is 4 and he already knows Muse when he hears it. His favorite is Supermassive Black Hole, but he likes just about anything on the Black Holes & Revelations and The Resistance CDs. Its so funny watching him nodding his head to the beat and singing along! I'll have to get him on video and post it somewhere.
  7. We didn't do the presale. We waited a week, held our collective breaths, and bought our GA tickets through Ticketmaster a full WEEK after they had gone on sale to the general public. We got our tickets last week. So sometimes presale can be a good thing, other times it can be nervewracking as hell!!!
  8. Â You think Bloomington is bad, try living in Decatur!!!
