  1. As the day of the concert gets closer, I find myself with more questions. I managed to swap my seated ticket for GA (yay!) and of course I plan to be there early so I can get a spot at the barrier. Do people who show up early to wait all day bring stuff with them to make the wait more comfortable? Such as chairs, games, etc. This will be my first time, so I really have no idea what to bring or not to bring for the actual waiting. I have someone who can pick up any extra stuff I have before the gates open, so I'm not worried about being stuck with anything. Also, I've read this whole thread and the general consensus seems to be you can take turns leaving the line to get food, take a bathroom break, or whatever. I think I remember someone saying you could even leave to take a nap. My question is, how long can you leave the line without breaking line etiquette (assuming you have someone with you to hold your place)? Can you leave for as long as an hour? I'm not saying I'll be doing this necessarily, I'm just wondering. Also, has anyone seen a thread for the Salt Lake City venue? I haven't been able to find one but I might not be looking in the right place.
  2. I agree, it WILL be an amazing experience - and who better than Muse for my first concert? The 1st posting of this thread said that some musers experiences were ruined because they went into the pit not knowing what they were getting into. That would have been me. But now I know where to stand, when to duck, what's acceptable/unacceptable, and how to deal with rude/pushy people. I can be mean if I have to! Plus, I am fully bracing myself to be bruised, jostled, possibly even elbowed. But hey, it's all part of the fun! I think I'd rather be in a wild, enthusiastic, pushy crowd than one where people are just standing there.
  3. Thanks for all the help, everyone! I feel much better about it now - I can definitely handle 1 hr 45min. Now I just have to see if I can hopefully meet up with some fellow Musers who can protect me since I'm so small! I'm sure I'll make some new friends while waiting in line too.
  4. I'm so glad this thread is here - I will be going to not only my first Muse concert, but my first concert ever. I will be in the seats for one concert and in GA for the second so I'll get to experience both worlds (unless I manage to swap my seated ticket for a GA ticket). OK, so I've read through this whole thread and I'm pretty sure these questions haven't been asked. I plan to get to the venue very early so I can get a spot at the barrier, and I was wondering when do they generally open the gate? About an hour before the show starts? How long does the band usually play? I've heard about 2 - 2 1/2 hours is average. Also, are there breaks throughout the show, like after the opening band? I really want to be in the pit, but I'm starting to think I might not have the stamina for it, especially if it last longer than a few hours. I am completely ignorant about rock concerts so any info would be helpful. I want to be as prepared as possible. Thanks!
