  1. People put too much weight into past shows against present shows, future shows, etc. You judge each show on its own merit and the performances of late have been mediocre (on average) at best, whether the people at the show enjoyed them or not.
  2. Reapers The Handler Supermassive Black Hole ***[Drill Sergeant]*** Psycho Dead Star MK Ultra Plug In Baby Butterflies & Hurricanes United States Of Eurasia Megalomania Unnatural Selection Liquid State Dead Inside Animals Interlude + Hysteria Showbiz Bliss Survival Supremacy Stockholm Syndrome Take A Bow
  3. That's a preference thing though. You can't solely base your perception of a gig on a single song just because you were unhappy about that rotation. I was very upset about getting New Born instead of Stockholm Syndrome at one gig, so upset that I tried to leave but my girlfriend (at the time) made me stay. It was still a decent show and the other rotations were pretty fair (Liquid State over Save Me, Map over Hysteria, Falling Down over Sunburn).
  4. Bad sound + Good performance > Bad sound + Bad performance The performance was absolutely horrible. You are clearly misremembering as I recall it being one of the worst of the entire tour, worse than a lot of US dates. Admittedly, I've only REALLY enjoyed one gig at the O2 (Frank Turner) and that was because I didn't know NIN too well when I saw them.
  5. My first Muse gig was in 2009 and it was awful. I went to the first of two nights at The O2. The rotations were Feeling Good and Unintended Vs Jazzy Cave and MK Ultra (I got the fucking former). Oh and the performance was fucking atrocious compared to the second night which people said was really good. I'm still mad.
  6. No, you go to a gig hoping to have a good time. If you leave thinking it's the best thing since sliced bread but it was a Justin Bieber Concert, it clearly wasn't the greatest thing since sliced bread. Some people can be subjective and some can't. Most of the time, I know when I've been to a mediocre show and I've been to several very mediocre Muse gigs.
  7. People are blinded by going to gigs a lot of the time. It's the post-show adrenaline high. It's happened to me before. I remember thinking that the Horse Guard's Parade show was the best Muse Gig I'd ever been to. Then I took the time to stop being wrong and realised it wasn't.
  8. When UD is being Rotated for Take A Bow... When performances are half-arsed... When band-members say they'll play songs at certain shows and then don't... The issue is with the band, not the fans. We pay money to see them and, by your logic, we should shut up and accept whatever shit they attempt to shovel down our throats. Fuck that. It's like people aren't allowed to have an opinion.
  9. I feel like most people would be happy if the set-list was more like this: ***[Drill Sergeant]*** Psycho Map Of The Problematique / Interlude + Hysteria The Handler Supermassive Black Hole Resistance Knights Of Cydonia Animals Butterflies & Hurricanes / Citizen Erased United States Of Eurasia / Hoodoo / Apocalypse Please / Ruled By Secrecy / Megalomania / Sunburn Save Me / Liquid State Mercy Dead Inside MK Ultra / Assassin / Micro Cuts / Muscle Museum / Showbiz / Fury / Dead Star / Futurism / Glorious Starlight Bliss Unnatural Selection / New Born Stockholm Syndrome Take A Bow The 2ND Law: Unsustainable / The 2ND Law: Isolated System / Exogenesis Symphony: Part 1 (Overture) Supremacy / Uprising Time Is Running Out / Plug In Baby Reapers Pretty evenly balanced across the board. Worst Case Scenario would still be pretty solid: ***[Drill Sergeant]*** Psycho Interlude + Hysteria The Handler Supermassive Black Hole Resistance Knights Of Cydonia Animals Citizen Erased United States Of Eurasia Save Me Mercy Dead Inside MK Ultra Starlight Bliss New Born Stockholm Syndrome Take A Bow The 2ND Law: Isolated System Uprising Time Is Running Out Reapers I'd be pretty happy with that.
  10. If that's how you want to be... For starters, Wembley is a stadium. The Arena is not Wembley Arena anymore, it's The SSE Arena. Second, why mention it then? Differentiating doesn't matter when it hasn't any direct association with the original point. The fact that it was ARENAS, not ACADEMIES was presumably stated for a reason.
